Great place to stay! Cannot say enough how appreciative I was of Eddie for providing such a comfortable and affordable place to stay. The views were great, espe...cially from the porch. The decor was amazing. Eddie was helpful in helping us maximize our visit to Yosemite by giving advice on where to go and eat. He even provides an informational packet for each room that had extremely important info such as schedules and local maps/ things to do. Next trip back to Yosemite, hands down this is the place I'll be staying. Thanks Eddie! See More

We spent 7 days of our 2017 vacation here! What a gem! It's a perfect place to stay if you plan to visit Bass Lake and Yosemite.
The amount of detail and care ...that goes into the Evergreen Haüs is evident the moment you walk in the doors. The rooms are beautiful and beds are comfortable, the hosts are beyond gracious and offer great trail suggestions and detailed maps.
They have a beautiful great room for movie watching, a cool
popcorn maker and a full self-service kitchen. Outside offers beautiful views and plenty of seating on the deck. There is a large trampoline for the kiddies too!
Couldn't recommend this place more. Just go!

Great place to stay and easy access to Yosemite, Glass Lake, and Starbucks! Beautiful, relaxing, home which also had access to laundry which was much needed after traveling for 10 days. Owner was informative and gave us plenty of tips to make the most of our short stay.

Comfortable lodge and facilities were great. The road up to the lodge desperately needs some improvement and some signs at the bottom would be helpful too. We h...ad some noisy neighbors on the second night who were talking outside in the common area until way past midnight. Otherwise it was a very pleasant and warm accommodation. I will come back again if given the chance. See More

Beyond pleasantly surprised! The Evergreen Haus was awesome! Lots of bang for the buck here. Spotless room with a big comfortable bed, a beautiful common are...a with a full kitchen, and outdoor play areas for the kids were perfect for our family! A mountain-view setting in close proximity to Yosemite's South Gate, and shopping, dining, and nightlife in Oakhurst were also perfect! The welcoming staff (Eddie) was EXTREMELY knowledgable and passionate about the area, and more than happy to help. We would highly recommend The Evergreen Haus to anyone traveling to area! With only 4 rooms, this place is absolutely ideal for multi-family parties wanting to have the whole place to themselves. We will definitely be back! See More

For anyone looking / interested in staying in Yosemite for the July 4th holiday, & found that most of the hotels in the whole area are already completely sold out, we've just had a last minute cancellation in our cabin's Redwood Room for July 3, 4, 5. It's double occupancy rate is only $155 per night (plus 11% tax) & accommodates up to 3 guests max. Have a safe & happy 4th!

In Honor of National Park Service Centennial Celebration
Park Hosting Special Centennial Program...s to Celebrate

Yosemite National Park will celebrate the Centennial, 100 years of the National Park Service, on August 25, 2016. In honor of this historic milestone, park entrance fees will be waived Thursday August 25 through Sunday August 28, 2016. Camping fees and all other fees will still be applicable. The park will host many special Centennial programs throughout the park on August 25.

Special Centennial events include a hike to the Top of Lembert Dome, a program on Stephen T. Mather and the Founding of the National Park Service, Horse-Drawn Stage Rides, and Tours of Pioneer Yosemite History Center. For more information about all of the Centennial events in the park, please visit www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/guide.htm .

“We are very excited about the NPS Centennial and the special programs taking place here in Yosemite in honor of the founding of the National Park Service,” stated Don Neubacher, Park Superintendent. “We encourage all visitors to find your park and to help celebrate this historic milestone.”

August 25, 2016 is the 100th Birthday of the U.S. National Park Service. President Woodrow Wilson signed the NPS Organic Act on August 25, 1916 establishing the National Park Service as an agency under the U.S. Department of the Interior. Today, the National Park Service manages 412 units across the United States and its territories, including 59 national parks, national monuments, national historical sites, national lakeshores, national seashores, national battlefields, and more.

Yosemite National Park celebrated its 125th Anniversary last year. The park welcomes over four million visitors from all over the world each year and serves as a strong economic engine for the region and local communities. Yosemite National Park generates $535 million in economic benefit to the local region. The park is home to Yosemite Falls, the tallest waterfall in North America, and iconic rock formations such as Half Dome and El Capitan. The park also features approximately 90 different species of mammals and over 1500 species of flowering plants.
