The Emperor's New Clothes: Disgraced former board member Michael Penn is making his way around the club in new suits these days hoping that his new look will help win him some respect as he declares he will run for the board again in the upcoming election.

Today is the day that the new board is tested at a town hall meeting. The old powers are very unhappy they no longer control things. It seems that they have ganged up to try and force new elections so that they can regain their hold on the club.

Why is Fukunaga still a member? He was in charge of the lawsuits defending the club and at the same time, he was leaking information to those suing the club. He played both sides of the fence and is responsible for the massive legal fees. Fukunaga should either resign or be expelled from the club.

Hello members, the time for voting has started. The club is in real danger. If you want to know who to vote for, there is one simple suggestion: Do not vote for a single incumbent. That's it. The only incumbents running are at the center of too much controversy. It would be in the best interest of the club to vote clean.

Is club membership for sale? It seems that last month three individuals from Nissan were "extended" their honorary membership in exchange for advertising in the club's magazine. In fact, honorary membership has always been on the table in exchange for "special deals" under Birmingham's "leadership". We hope the next president will not use their position to cheapen the club this way.

It's been a while, but things have changed. It's clear that Birmingham will not run due to pressure that she is at her term limit. Reason won out. Now we finally have a list of candidates and it is indeed short. More in a followup post.

New rumour! FCCJ president Lucy Birmingham plans to run for the board again next term even though she is in the final year of her term limit. It's unclear how she plans to get around this rule, but rumour has it she and vice president Michael Penn are going to argue that term limits reset with the change to koeki or they might just flat out ignore the limit. She has appointed friends to the election committee, so they may give her and Penn a green light although neither one of them qualify to run.

Update on vice president Michael Penn controversy! We have confirmed that he was kicked out of the FPIJ for fraudulent credentials. They do not consider his company to be a legitimate news agency.

It seems that there is a bigger controversy surrounding one of the members of the board than expected. Rumour has it that FCCJ vice president Michael Penn has been under scrutiny by the membership committee. Apparently they made a report that he does not qualify for regular membership. It seems that there is issue with his credentials being fraudulent. The membership committee presented their findings to the board, but they were rejected by the secretary who is a friend of Michael Penn. We will get more on this and report soon. Anyone with information is free to send us a tip. We will keep your identity secret.

It seems we have a very interesting email circulating around about the real financial situation at the club:

Hello and welcome to FCCJ Insider. With the SOS page more or less dead, this new page has come online to continue in the spirit of the old site and give you the scoop on what's really going on at the club. So do check back often this week as we plan to publicize the real state of the club before the March 5 general membership meeting.

All members and concerned people have the right to know the truth without fear or censorship. The mission of the club is to serve the public's interest, not the interest of select individuals.
