On 5-17-2018 Fair Haven Police arrested Paxton R. Taube, Age 20, of Fair Haven, VT after being called to a reported assault. On 5-13-2018 at approximately 8:00 am police were called to Prospect Street for a possible assault. Upon arrival Taube advised he was assaulted earlier in the morning. On 5-15-2018 Police received a complaint of shots being fired during a dispute on Prospect Street. Through investigation Police learned Taube had allegedly got into a physical altercation with another causing injury. Taube then allegedly threatened to kill by-standers who attempted to stop him from assaulting the other person. The by-standers attempted to calm Taube and asked him to go to bed. Taube then again threatened to kill them before grabbing a handgun. As the by-standers fled Taube then allegedly fired five shots from his hand gun at the vehicle they were fleeing in, striking the vehicle three times twice in the tail gate and once in the side mirror near where one person was seated. When interviewed Taube admitted to his involvement in the incident. Taube was arrested and transported to Rutland District court for arraignment.

On 5-04-2018 Fair Haven Police arrested Charles J. Vincent of Fair Haven, NY after stopping him for a motor vehicle violation. On 5-04-2018 at 4:00 pm Police stopped Vincent. for driving without an inspection sticker on North Park Street. Upon interview Police learned Vincent was under criminal suspension to operate a motor vehicle. Vincent was arrested and released to appear in Rutland District Court at a later date.
