In the spirit of my commentary on the night before election results in the 2016 US presidential election, I am writing my thoughts on the Ontario June 7, 2018 election night, publishing this minutes before the polls close at 9 PM. If various polling companies prove correct, with their predictions 24 hours before the election, Doug Ford's Progressive Conservatives will form a majority government. [ 1,178 more word ]

With the news of the military coup in Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia), I felt that I should share some interesting interviews about Rhodesia that I had just come across in the past year, done by Bill Buckley Jr. in the 70s. This 1978 interview is very significant, because one of the Black leaders in a temporary coalition government, outright says that Mugabe wants a communist government. [ 144 more words ]

With the news of Charles Manson's passing on November 19, 2017, here is the most intelligent statement I ever heard him make. As someone alluded to in the comments, it's no wonder he never got parole!

Apparently being a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, and an attendee of Bohemian Grove and Bilderberg meetings wasn't enough to keep Charlie Rose from being accused by several women for sexual impropriety and assault. Maybe he would've fared better today if David Rockefeller (one of his favourite interviewees and past CFR President Trilateral Commission founder) would've still been alive. [ 369 more words ]

In case all these reports of sexual assault are just mid-level transgressions, as a distraction away from more organized, worse crimes -- before all these latest revelations, there was the Franklin Coverup. I don't know about you, but the threatened sentences that were initially put out for witnesses allegedly lying about being used in a pedophile ring seem way out of proportion for lying about such a thing, where at most two years in jail may be a reasonable sentence for perjury, unless the allegations were basically true, and it was a deterrence to recant, while they could still enjoy living.

With the word of Hugh Hefner's passing on September 27, 2017, there were two interesting things to me that I came across concerning Hugh Hefner over the past few years of alternative research since 2010. The first is that I learned from Dr. Judith Reisman that he was a virgin in college in the 50s, until he read the fraudulent Kinsey Reports (fraudulent, because they were pseudo-scientific and deliberately misrepresented by Kinsey) -- which is really a tale of the changing times of sexual morals in the US, which used to based on a particular Christian ethic and gradually switched to a nihilistic ethnic where virtually everything became legally and often socially tolerated among consenting adults. Of course they did, because the govt. has the power to make such decisions, even if they are bad on multiple fronts. Trudeau's excuse that we're not a banana republic and won't cancel existing deals was nonsense. New govts. regularly cancel deals. Chretien govt. famously cancelled PC helicopter deal. Stupidly, in hindsight. But didn't make us banana republic. http://www.cbc.ca/…/politics/canada-saudi-arms-deal-court-1…

The federal court will rule today on the case of a Montreal law professor who challenged the federal government's decision to approve a $15-billion deal to sell armed vehicles to Saudi Arabia.

Cultural Marxism, that's why. It's for the same reason that there is regular talk about it being a problem of there not being enough women on corporate boards, yet there is no regular public call for boosting the number of men in female-majority fields, like elementary school teaching. http://news.nationalpost.com/…/bring-on-the-shirtless-men-w…

Ha, what a crock. It had been broadly and long-recognized that the UK government could terminate treaties based on the Royal Prerogative (i.e. an executive action) without Parliamentary approval. The U.S. still recognizes this principle through its Head of State (the President), as was evidenced by Trump canceling Obama's approval of the TPP treaty. It was already a bad sign when the government announced it would seek Parliamentary approval, as it could be delayed long enough to result in a no vote, open voting could be allowed to arrange that, or they could structure the Bill to have a poison pill that would foreseeably result in enough MPs voting against it. http://news.nationalpost.com/…/supreme-court-say-britain-mu…

Kevin O'Leary, nicknamed "Canada's Donald Trump," has announced his run for the Conservative leadership. He actually had the nerve to announce it the morning after the previous evening's French language debate, due to the fact that he isn't fluent enough in French and didn't want to embarrass himself. What may be a non-issue for most non-French speaking Canadians, as a would-be Prime Ministerial candidate, and therefore the Head of Government, it's not asking much to be fluent in both official languages. False! "Yet migrant workers miss out on the Canadian dream. Despite performing the labour we are unwilling to do ourselves, there is no path to citizenship for them." The labour 'we' are willing to do ourselves at minimum wage, that is, because it's below the market rate for that labour by Canadian residents. The agricultural sector, unfortunately, is structurally based on below-market wages and would be adversely affected by foreign competition in the U.S. if we required true market wages. http://www.cbc.ca/news/opinion/canadas-next-150-1.3924879

Canada’s 150th is being marketed as a time to celebrate our young and angsty nation, but for many, the date has a different message: it’s time to grow up.

Another case of the mass media and politicians falsely framing an issue as a religious one when it should be about private property rights. Why does the city own a tree on someone's own property anyway? https://www.thestar.com/…/north-york-resident-wins-right-to…

Vastu, an ancient Indian system of architecture involving home design, holds that trees shouldn’t be planted directly in front of a home’s main entrance.

And here I thought Costco was voluntarily being informative about the calorie count of their food court food. Turns out, they were probably getting ahead of Liberal legislation coming into effect Jan. 1 forcing restaurants with 20 or more locations to tell us the shocking revelation that their menu items like a hot dog and fries have lots of calories. http://www.cbc.ca/…/ontario-menu-nutrition-labelling-1.3915…

Restaurant-goers in Ontario are going to notice a little extra something on some menus as of Jan. 1: calorie counts.

This is a great example of propaganda by our national broadcaster, the CBC. While statistics have shown that about half of refugees go on provincial welfare a year after their federal or private sponsorship runs out, the CBC is getting ahead of the curve in telling us about one family who wants to work and avoid going on welfare. You will see this double standard time and time again in our biased mass media, as they will point to a single or a few cases that make their case a...nd ignore a broader look, yet they will decry anyone outside of the controlled mass media pointing to a single negative example, saying it's not representative of the majority. Given the huge influx of 50k refugees within a few months, it's likely the welfare rates will be higher than 50%. They've even changed the term from welfare to social assistance to make it sound so much better. http://www.cbc.ca/…/syrian-refugees-one-year-later-1.3871588
