Fayette Democratic Women (FDW) will have its monthly meeting on June 17, 2017 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Heritage Bank, 440 North Jeff Davis Drive, Fayetteville, GA.

The topic for this month’s meeting is “Civil Rights: Is the Landscape
Changing?” Civil Rights Attorney Wayne Kendall and Family Law Attorney Catherine Sanderson are the guest speakers. The attorneys will discuss how new national and state policies are impacting the rights of various groups of people that may include women, religious groups, voters, immigrants and others. Those interested in being a part of FDW are welcome to attend.

Fayette Democratic Women will have its monthly meeting on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Heritage Bank on 440 N Jeff Davis Drive in Fayetteville. The topic for this month’s meeting is “Spectrum of Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation”. Members of PFLAG Peachtree City will provide a panel of speakers to share their stories and discuss the many issues surrounding sexual identity, including family dynamics, public perceptions, misinformation, and societal attitudes. After the panel there will be time for Q & A. Members of Fayette Democratic Women seek to educate themselves and build broader understanding about issues that are politically relevant to its membership. Fayette Democratic Women invites newcomers to attend.

Fayette Democratic Women participate in street canvassing to #Flipthe6th on Saturday! Early voting for the April 18th special election is happening this week. The Fayette County Democratic Committee (FCDC) along with various organizations across the nation who are opposed to President Trump and his administration are asked to send a POST CARD TO THE WHITE HOUSE ON WEDNESDAY THE 15TH. This is a nationwide action designed to tell the President what we think of the job he is doing. Our new FDW member, Sheryl Cork is spearheading this effort for the FCDC.
