The most famous skyline in the world. We have been fortunate to be a part of it, having worked on several Ground Zero projects. Most significantly Building 1 Freedom Tower and Building 7 which collapsed along with the Twin Towers (the glass building in the background of Freedom Tower). It is important to remember why this skyline changed and all the people effected. #neverforget

Surprisingly we rarely get to see the finished structures that we work weeks, months, or even years on. Especially in the first few weeks of use. This was an awesome weekend of college football at the Mercedes Benz Stadium. Regardless of the team colors worn or the level of enthusiasm given in support of a favorite team, all seemed impressed by the newest sports venue in Atlanta. It was awesome to hear all the complements and people quoting what they read in one article o...r another. Even the many rumors. Seeing this project come from paper and pencil to the masterpiece it is has been a once in a lifetime experience. Our team and our professional colleagues never fail to impress or make the impossible possible. Congratulations Atlanta on an amazing addition to your city. Congratulations to Alabama and Tennessee on the first college football victories in the new stadium.

I might be one of those people taking pictures of the roof instead of the game. 🤓

Without a doubt the most complex and interesting project of my career. I am always amazed by the intellect and hard work of the Ferrell Engineering employees. We work on many complicated projects around the world. And we are constantly asked "can you provide us an example" of a special situation. Quite honestly, we deal with firsts all the time. Volumes of reference material on the engineering principals or codes that apply. But, nothing on the magnitude or scale we deal with specifically. A project like this has an infinite number of details to consider. As my business partner has said in several of this project's meetings, "We live in the details".

And the roof opens... Years of work to get to this point. Fast approaching the first events in the new stadium.
