We let out dry (not currently producing milk/about two months out from calving) cows out to pasture earlier this week. I've never heard so much mooing on this farm at one time. They were pretty excited. :)
Wanna come herd the girls with us for a few seconds? Here ya go!
After yet another little hiatus due to more rain, we are BACK at it!

Once a week all the cows get new sheets for their beds. We like to think of it as the same sand as you get at the beach. On a rainy day like this I wouldn't mind thinking about a sunny day at a beach🏖🏖 #cleansheets #cowsinparadise #sandyhairdontcare #farm365

Cover crops are the tool we use in the fall to do the tillage for us. As a no-till farm we love using plants like turnips and radishes, cereal rye grass, and triticale to help build a root mass under the ground. These plants also build organic matter on top of the soil to help improve the soil quality for generations to come! #covercrops #freeradishes #farm365

Positive news alert! Corn silage 2017 is complete and in the bunk. Nothing better than high quality, pure Michigan cow chow to feed our girls for the next year. This week has been a scorcher but everyone has done what it takes to get the job done. Thank you to our dedicated crew and Huff Farms for the service. #cowchow #farm365 #done
