A fresh dusting of snow on the Downs near Brighton early on Sunday morning. A pleasing simplicity of colour and shape masking the reality of a howling gale and the occasional face full of spindrift.
Seven small trees in the sunshine. The start of the thaw on the South Downs last week. I always enjoy the way each field or hillside reveals a different texture as the snow recedes.
