I like investing in First Mining Finance as a counterweight to my other gold stocks. If gold goes down, it will be very hard for some of the smaller companies to get financing, and they will likely be... willing to agree to very attractive terms to First Mining in order to keep their project afloat until gold prices go back up. With First Mining currently trading at 1.2 times book value, the valuation is not as stretched as many of the other mining companies (over 100 of which carry a price/BV over 2). I just like the hidden value FMF has that can be unlocked well in to the future. See More

Solid company with some great properties and a solid management team.
A little more love in the precious metals sector and the company stock has the potential to move much higher in my humble opinion.
