Staff seemed to be alright. All seemed to be sitting around playing on there phone in the kitchen when we walked in.... I had the fried shrimp which was Bomb very tasty. However we got 3/4 through our... meal to look up and see roaches crawling up the walls. We told our bartender who acted like it was a normal occurrence
grabbed a paper towel killed it never said I'm sorry or that's weird we don't usually have a roach problem?? Place did not seem to be the cleanest floor and baseboards had food caked on them hints the roach problem. Needless to say kinda of runied the rest of our meal.. menu is very overpriced for the food quality and dinning quality an experience . Better places to spend 40 bucks on 2 people all day.
Look, this place is fantastic.
If you want a high end dining experience , then go to some $100 per plate place. The Fish Market is becoming one of my favorite places. The coldest beer in town, the f...reshest catfish and shrimp you can get in the KC area. The smoked catfish is amazing, the conch fritters are as well. My kids devour the fried pickles and firecracke r shrimp, and I've tried just about everything else there and it's awesome. The very few poor reviews this place has come from people who generally give crappy reviews wherever they go. CHeck this place out!

Beer was ice cold and a great variety to choose from. Service was great. Frog legs was the best I ever had. Hubby loved the catfish nuggets and shrimp. He also got the pulled pork fries and loved that.... Oh and the strawberry
rhubarb pie was delicious. Only thing that wasn't great was the parking. Parking lot is small and was hard getting in and out of. We were there at 4 on a Saturday. Will be back.
There were five of us in our party and we had fantastic service and great food. Shrimp po-boy, smoked catfish and fried catfish. The gentleman that served us very polite and great sense of humor. Ch...illed mugs of Schlitz were nice as well.
hink "hole in the wall." Not cheap. Beer was in ice covered mugs. Soda by the can. Fried pickes were good appetizer. We both had fried catfish baskets with hush puppies and fries. ... Very tasty, would go all hush puppies next time. The star of the show was the shrimp chowder. It was outstandin g! It was a tad cool inside due to the extreme cold outside. We will go back.
Food was tasty worth the short wait because it's freshly prepared. Great sauces to compliment
the food. I love the alligator bites and the shrimp and catfish are tasty without being overly spiced. The... jalapeño cornbread and conch fritters, awesome. Cold beer and good tunes. Ignore the negatives I think they accidental ly ate at LJS.
Great food. We had the conch fritters. Hot, fresh and flavorful.
For dinner we had the fried shrimp and catfish. The batter was light. Fish and shrimp were perfectly done and tender. Fries and hu...sh puppies were just an added bonus. Good service. Cute place. Carrot cake was awesome.
yesterday I ate at your establishm
ent for the first time I had the alligator basket with potato salad jalapeno cornbread and a drink. potato salad was good hush puppies were good and the alligator was... awesome but the the cook was skimpy on the portion of alligator I only got half of what the picture showed that was my only disappoint ment.
Awesome food, great service!!!
The best red beans and rice I've ever had. The alligator was amazing. You would think a place called the fish market would smell like fish, which is what I expected, bu...t it didn't. We will definitely be back!!!
Unique little Louisiana-
style bayou/ swamp-theme d Fish and Seafood shack in the middle of the cold and landlocked Midwest. Oh yeah, the food ain't bad either. ;)
