On our way to a breakdown today! we always do our best to get to sites, even when the conditions aren't favorable! #4x4sprinter
The second video of the 411 cab restoration we are currently on with. In this video I strip the drivers side down and form the inner arch panel, and the footwell wall, then these are put in place along with the floor pan, last but not least I fit the drivers wing.

Our good friends at Ibbetts Unimog have this #Unimog for sale it was originally a crew cab has now been fitted with an ex army cab in very good condition, she has no equipment fitted but does have high speed axles and a 160ps motor this would make a nice rally truck or motor home.
Call us if you want to talk about rally Unimogs 😀
A recent refurbishment to a #unimog u1650 for Arbortech Tree Specialists. The refurb included a full cab rebuild, including 2 new wings, new wheel arches (rear arches fabricated by ourselves) cab outer box sections replaced and floors rebuilt on both sides, lower back B pillar rebuilds and a rebuild of under the windscreen and upright exhaust, rebuild of the grill. A full refurb of all trims including mirrors, plastics, and metals. There was heavy rust on the chassis and axle...s which was shot blasted over, then the chassis was blacked over and preserved with anti-corrosion. The wheels were stripped down and refurbished gloss black, as were the stud protectors.
The unimog also received a full service whilst with us.
It is going to be returned to us at some point to have the back body rebuilt and painted.
Unfortunately due to getting a new phone I have lost many of the images taken in the process, so here are the ones that were saved.
Just the beginning of the 411 cab restoration, first time we've ever done a video on the subject.
I am going to make clips of it and upload to facebook, then do a full video on youtube.
Got the cab of the 1965 U32 (411) Unimog onto the rotary welding jig today ready to cut into and restore. It's getting new wings, arches, B pillars, drivers footwell, drivers seat floor and passengers seat floor. It's also had a nasty repair to the passenger cab mount at some point in the past so that's the first thing that will be sorted, and the grill needs some work as well.
Just finished repairing the interior lights on my own 1982 Mercedes w123. The dimmer controls were the problem, removing the dash cluster and stripping down the potentiometer to give it a good clean solved the issue. A couple of the heater knobs aren't lit up still, so I will have to look into that at some point.
A customer had a Snapped in feed roller shaft on their schliesing 550zx, we removed the mechanism and welded the shaft back together, in this situation ensuring the shaft was welded back on square was vital.
Pictures and videos are in the comments.
Safe to say we've done a "grate" job here! some different for us this time around.
One of our customers recently dropped a tree on a cast iron grate, so he asked us to find a solution, welding all the separate bits would be a long slow process, so I drew it up on cad and got it laser cut from 20mm steel. Today we went and fitted it and we're very happy with the results.
