I love Fishfest and I am a regular attendee. Even though it has been several months since Fishfest 2017 at the Honda Center I feel compelled to write a review. The line up you put together for Fishfes...t 2017 was incredible. Kudos to the people who booked them! However, overall I did not enjoy my experience at Fishfest this year. Here are some reasons why . . .
1. The sound. Wow was it horrible! I can handle extremely loud music, which this was, but the mix was definitely off. The low end was distorted and loud. I couldn't understand the lyrics being sung and the other instruments were indiscernible.
2. One of the things that I enjoy about Fishfest is seeing newer upcoming bands play on the smaller stage. Having the main performers play sets on the small stage outside did not make room for these up and coming artists.
3. The outside part of Fishfest was not up to your usual standard. One of the fun things about going to Fishfest is the variety of food trucks and visiting the booths featuring Christian organizations and vendors. This year the options outside were very limited. If anything I would like to see more Christian organizations, vendors, and crafts.
4. In past years people prayed, gave their personal testimonies, and presented people with the opportunity to accept Christ from the main stage during Fishfest. It seemed there was much less of that this year. The speakers you had were very hard to hear so maybe I missed their invitation to receive Jesus.
5. This is a personal preference. I really missed not having Fishfest outdoors. When you sent out a poll asking which venues I would attend this year I indicated that the Honda Center was a place I would like to go. If Fishfest has to be indoors I still support holding it at the Honda Center, but with significant changes.

The stage set up was so funky! I actually saw 2 of the musicians fall into holes that were created by the amps being placed willy nilly around the stage. We were suppose to be right in front and turns... out the front of the stage was changed at the last minute. What??? That's crazy! We've never been more disappointed for a concert we waited over 6 months to see! We ended up being behind the stage and literally missing everything! Crowder was so loud and distorted that I had to shove toilet paper in my ears and was still in pain. My husband who has been in Christian rock bands since Stryper said he's never been to a concert that was so loud that it was actually painful! Fishfest, please don't EVER change the stage! That's so totally uncool for those of us that have supported you over the years and should actually be illegal!!! If you buy tickets and pay extra to be right in front of the stage, there should never ever be a change that puts you behind the action!!! We couldn't even see the large screen because it was right above our heads. You guys blew it on this one!!! See More

My wife was excited about the line up, but the bass volume was unbearable. I left after a single song. At the Irvine amphitheater I had the option of moving closer to the stage for more volume on my f...avorite bands and back to the hill for the time to pass. Now I have every single song shoved in my face. Thanks Honda Center. I won't be back at Fish Fest if it's at the Honda center in the future. See More

I love the Fishfest. I loved it more at Irvine Meadows. I hope they are able to move it outside again.

I paid extra to get good seats. And I am used to going to concerts. But up close, not only was the
music so loud that it was very distorted, but my hearing has not been the same since. Because of that... I especially regret I ever went at all. It looks like it changed my life forever in a bad way by the loss of some of my hearing.
However, the concert sounded better the further you were from the stage. They need better sound people for sure. Never in my life has this ever happened at a concert.
I have was so looking forward to seeing some of
my favorite Christian music artists too. But I had to go because I ended up with a terrible headache. The friend that came with me couldn't even make out the songs because of the distortion from it being so loud.

Paid for VIP seats, but was told at the box office 20 minutes before the show the promoter had moved the stage and my "VIP" seats no longer existed . Met with indifference and ambivalence at the box They tried to place me 20+ rows back, behind the end of a side stage with an obstructed view. Had to bounce around unused seats until someone added a couple rows to the original location of my tickets...2/3 of the way into the show. Can't blame the Honda Center, but I'll never go to a Transparent Productions show again. See More

My favorite concert of the year!!! I'm excited for the new location. It's hard to catch all of the bands at the Irvine Ampatheatre. Hopefully this year being at the Honda Center we can see every band.
