Such an honor to be a part of Dance Marathon this weekend at Florida State. These amazing students raised more than $2 million which will go directly to help kids like Fletcher. The team we were a part of, Fletcher’s Fighters, raised the third most money and Fletcher got to hold the trophy they won for doing so. This truly is an amazing organization and we can’t wait to participate again next year.
Having a blast in Panama City Beach and enjoying the kids just being able to be kids. They have a lot of catching up to do after spending most of last year in and around the hospital. Zoo World, beachside lunch, lazy river/heated pool/hot tub and beach time at the hotel!!
This picture Fletcher is holding was taken exactly one year ago today, when our world was forever changed.
We were told that he had Burkitts Lymphoma/Leukemia and that his bone marrow was 90% cancer.
We were told how he was Stage IV.
We were told how incredibly sick and critical he was and how the next few days weren’t certain for him.
Thanks to God’s grace and the incredible medical staff at Shands, our Fletcher is healthy and happy today.
He is living proof of God’s true miracles.💚
Merry Christmas 🎄
This year is very different, with Fletcher and Tallulah both sick from a nasty tummy virus. We are missing Christmas with my mom’s side of the family, The Fletcher Clan, for the first time in my 34 years. And we missed Christmas Eve with Stephen’s side of the family last night.
But Fletcher is happy and cancer-free, and that really is the best gift of all. In February we weren’t sure he’d be here to celebrate this Christmas. Having gone through all of that darkness, to where we are now, truly makes this the best Christmas yet👼🏼🎄🎅🏻
Look at these cuties, and how healthy Fletcher looks, and all that hair!
We had his 1st post-treatment scans and checkup Monday at Shands and Praise God,
he’s STILL CANCER FREE!!!🎉💚
Precious photos by the amazingly talented Beth Johnson Photography. Y’all, she is simply the best💗
We are so proud to be able to be a part of Dance Marathon (DM) at FSU. This amazing student run organization raises money for Children Miracle Network Hospitals across North America. As part of that network, Shands was able to provide Fletcher with world class medical and supportive care, without which, he might not be here today. The students at FSU and other schools work tirelessly to help raise money for DM and we are thankful beyond expression for that.
Please, if you can, consider donating to this awesome cause.
Happy 4th Birthday to our little sunshine!
You spent most of your year being 3 in the hospital supporting your brother, and yet never once complained. You lost a lot of innocence and have been through more than most adults have, and your sweet little self taught us all about true strength. You’re the best little sister and daughter and we love you Tallulah Dean!! ☀️🎈🎉🎀
This. All of this.
Stephen or I could have almost written this word for word. While our life looks so happy now, it has been forever changed, as has any family that has experienced childhood cancer. We struggle day to day knowing the uncertainty of Fletcher’s future. We pray all day every day for Fletcher to stay in remission. And as Fletcher and Tallulah pray every night, God please be with all the cancer kids. 💚🎗
“No job too big, no pup too small!”
Fletcher picked out the costumes this year, after falling in love with Paw Patrol again while in the hospital for 6 months. He had the BEST time tonight with our awesome Loop family. It was such a delight to see our boy so happy and so full of joy.
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard on this event for our family. It really meant a lot and Fletcher is SO proud of his ‘taller than Mama’ trophy. Every trophy given had Fletcher’s sweet face on them. It was a great time and we are so thankful to Tina and her family. 💚
