I think it is crazy and stupid that you cannot discreetly claim your prize if you win. I wouldn't want everyone to know that I just won a bunch of money. I would want to remain anonymous to the public.... A lot of lotto winners go through hell because everyone knows they have won. Look at that poor Shakespeare guy that got murdered. Also, his family and "friends" used the heck out of him, asking him to buy them this and that. It shouldn't be like that. It instantly puts people in jeopardy! They need to change that! See More

My father always played and passed away in 1994 with stomach cancer..He'd always ride to the line..hoping and praying he'd win to get his family out of any financial hole..I can say that I've followed... in his footsteps and do go and play hoping and praying something will come through..I just may be a millionaire one day..keeping the FAITH.. In most cases, I play for enjoyment and if I win something it is great. I have won a few times through the years, A couple of second chances that were $500.00 Cash,
once. And a wonderful Game day expe...rience, With great seats which included a tail gate experience second to none, with tee shirts and hats of your team. It will always be a wonderful reminder of why I always do the second chance entries. I do $1.00 to $2.00 scratch offs. I have won a Fantasy 5 Jackpot a few years ago, with 3 other people and it was a life-saver to me to be able to keep my home and pay off bills. Thank You Florida Lottery, but most of all THANK YOU GOD! See More

I think it's must important the the lottery commission makes it mandatory to post winners names. Unless it's an exceptionally huge, newsworthy lotto win, not many people check the website to see who ...won a jackpot and where the ticket was sold. This policy of posting names makes it very difficult for dishonesty and embezzlement of jackpots. And I think those winning big big money can open a trust in a name that I don't believe has to be actual surname. See More

How to Stay Anonymous When You Win the Lottery
We all have fantasies of hitting the lottery, right? The new cars, the boat, the...lawsuits, predators, and bankruptcies? The winning ticket isn’t necess...arily the winning ticket for a happy life, which is exactly why the winner of January’s Powerball jackpot of $560 million wants to keep her name out of the public record. But New Hampshire, where the she lives, doesn’t allow winners to claim their winnings anonymously, and so in January she filed a lawsuit in an attempt to protect her identity.
The states have an interest in making lotto winners’ identities public to protect the integrity of the game—see, for example, the Iowa security chief who rigged the $16.5 million lottery (he had been a computer programmer in the state lottery office and evidently did something programmy with the numbers) and then tried to claim it anonymously.
Only seven states—Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, and likely soon Georgia—allow winners to shield their identities. A handful of other states, like California and Wisconsin, entirely forbid winners to remain anonymous, “and then there are the states with gray areas,” says Jason Kurland, an attorney in East Meadow, New York, who has represented jackpot winners in the past. Depending on where you live, you can “form a trust and hide behind that. Your lawyer can be the face of the trust.”
Now this is exactly what Jane Doe, in New Hampshire, did—but she had already signed her lottery ticket in her own name, and lottery officials have refused to let her white out her name and re-sign in the name of the trust.
Most advisors instruct the winner to sign the ticket immediately, so the ownership is indisputable—does the New Hampshire case mean that the lucky holder of the winning Powerball ticket shouldn’t sign the back of the ticket? Kurland notes that leaving the ticket unsigned and risking someone (even your lawyer) stealing it, is a big risk. His solution? “Sign it but sign it small. Then you can add trustees, or several trustees, and the name of the trust.”
Once you’ve signed, find a trusts and estates attorney in your state to advise you. This person should also put you in touch with a financial planner—you’re going to owe taxes, and you’ll likely want to consider how best to handle charitable contributions and gifts to family and friends. “Once you set up your team, you can’t go wrong,” says Kurland.
Oh, and mum’s the word. New York City trusts and estates attorney Alison Besunder says, “The bigger problem arises when there is an oral (usually flippant) promise to share the proceeds.” So, if you really want to stay anonymous? Keep your mouth shut.

Me and my mom being playing the lottery for a very long time and never really won anything to brag about I think they should change the way they play I think when the money gets to 40million I think... they should spread the money around I think they should give 200 thousand to each family so they could buy houses and vehicles pay off bills pay off school loans and continue to go to college take vacations help people in other countries. Well that's my opinion. God bless you all Emmanuel See More

Fairly good luck on my scratch off tickets try not to spend more than 50 to $100 a week on them but like I said have fairly good luck on them so most of the time I make my money back and might make a ...few extra dollars plus I enjoy playing the Bingo and crossword scratchers the biggest win I've had was $1,000 on a three dollar Yahtzee ticket. Hopefully going to have some more good luck and get a bigger hopefully going to win even bigger in the very very near future, but you can't win if you don't play. See More

I wish the lottery games were set up that lots of folks would win instead of one person winning the millions of dollars. I know that people play knowing there is a giant jackpot but I think lots of pe...ople would play knowing that the odds of winning a few hundreds or thousands would be possible. I think hundreds of folks winning a high winning would help our economy and get more people playing the lottery. See More

The 30th Birthday Spectacular:
Man, what kind of cr*p is this?
All the winning numbers were in the 137300's 400's and 500's except for 2 that were in the 137200's where ALL my numbers was at!...
Starting to smell like bs.
Your system "SEEMS" to be setup to FAVOR the higher priced TICKETS!
Like it's programed to do that, that's not random, that's selective design to pick the higher priced tickets to compensate the bigger losers.
My perception is you have rigged the games second chance winners!
I had close to or more than 200 different numbers, but I guess that doesn't matter does it! 20 $10 tickets or 200 $1 tickets is not the same in your book!
Of all the times I've played second chance I've never considered why I have never won it, whatever number of years of played it, now I believe I know why!
Lost faith in a system I thought was fair, like blind justice, stupid me! Favoritism favors he who has the gold gets more gold!
I'm done with scratch offs!

P.S. Something about me;
I did 20 years in the Navy and I came out 60% disabled.
What I essentially did was defended the Judicial Branch, the Legislative Branch, the Executive Branches of our government.
I feel I have ‘earned’ every right this country has to ‘give’ its citizens.

Wish there was more money for small winners - more tickets need to be winners it would be more fun and easier to spend money on more tickets if I won more. Just a thought.

My family plays the lottery like they pay a monthly bill, now I am doing the same thing. Some may think its an addiction, I call it an investment. Someday, I will cash in just hoping to win big.
