Peel Park Cafe - Great sales pitch by Janet, a fab place for a break in the park.

Janet Attwood to Friends of Peel Park

It's almost Saturday and the forecast is for rain, but it's going to be into double digits, temperature wise. But whilst the temperature might be a little high, the prices never are at Peelers' Cafe. Open from 10am until 2pm.

The need for renovation is even more urgent given the amount of damage done by the Beast from the East!

Current plans for the new Greenwood Centre renovation have a Dentist included. Great news given this story!

IT has been described as the “Cinderella” service of the NHS.

Info on bin collections - look like the Council will be taking side waste too.

If your bin wasn’t emptied last week because of the bad weather we will collect all waste (both general waste and recycling) on your usual collection day this week. Just put both bins out, along with any extra waste and they will be emptied.

See our website for more information about bin collections this week.

Interesting story from the T&A on Friday about Poplars Farm School - did not come to a Bolton & Undercliffe Councillor for comment so no representation from local people who have huge concerns about road safety here!

First call from a resident in my ward about the changes to the Council Tax Reduction Scheme... If you have been hit by Labours changes you can make an appointme...nt and speak to an advice worker. Call Family Action on 01274 577571 (Mon- Fri 9am to 1pm) There is a discretionary scheme that may be able to help.

I just wonder how many more families will be forced into poverty as a result of this??

Great meeting this morning with Family Action discussing advice services in Bradford East and how residents in our area can access it. One of the issues... lack of publicity.

Can you help with this?

Louise Williams to Bradford East communities

There are 10 Council Warden vacancies and we are holding a recruitment event/ information session at Margaret McMillan Towers, Princes... Way in the centre of Bradford on Friday 23rd February, 12-2pm and 4-6pm. There will be a range of officers at these sessions who will be able to tell you a lot more about what you will do as a Council Warden. You’ll be able to find out first hand from existing Council Wardens what they like (and don’t like!) about the role. Other officers will be available to talk to you about the application process and how you demonstrate the competencies and experience that you can bring to the role.

If you want an interesting and challenging role working with the community to help make a difference to Bradford’s neighbourhoods, this could be the job for you.

For further information, please contact Sandy Priestley on 01274 431066.…/15…/council-warden-113037
