Jeremiah 27:18 AMPC
But if they are true prophets and if the word of the Lord is really spoken by them, let them now make intercession to the Lord of hosts, that the vessels which are still left in the house of the Lord, in the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem may not go to Babylon.
Prophets are authorized spokesmen for God.
A big part of the ministry is private in intercession. The duty is ours, intercession, the out come obviously is the Lords. ("The duty... is ours the out come is the Lords".
John Quincy Adams)
It's my private life that gives impact to my public life. A foundational principle of ministry and life. It's worth reflection ever day.
Where do you get your identity from?
Matthew 4, 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, He was hungry. 3The tempter came to Him and said, “If You are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” 4But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Have you ever wondered why the first thing Satan questions in Jesus is his identity?...

Something to think about
Every New Year I ask the Lord for a scripture for the year this year it was a very familiar one John 8:31-32 NIV To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
This is an interesting scripture it was written to people who believed in Him and He said if you hold to my teaching. If is one of the most important words I the bible its conditional on the word "hold" one of the definitions of hold is to have possession or ownership of or have at one's disposal. If we take possession of His word, a teaching made up of words not just words but His words if we own it and have it at our disposal. You are really, without question or doubt, my disciples.
You can believe in Jesus and not hold to His teaching. A disciple is revealed in his actions and his vocabulary both public and privately any one can do or say what's right when everyone in looking and listening but when you are in private that's a different story. Verse 32 is just awesome " Then, words like then and when are functions of time. If you read the definitions of truth one word is constancy, consistency too is a function of time, discipline and love. It doesn't come over night but it comes . Then you will know the truth relationally and experientially. A consistent walk with Jesus and the truth will set you free in 2016 we will need to know the truth.
Free from the anxieties of life, by the way, don't let the cares of this life choke the word and make it unfruitful in 2016. A lot will happen a lot will be said some of it truthful. And some things not good. If you know the truth you are free of the anxiety of what will become of our country, our families you can make your own list. Anxiety and faith are mutually exclusive.
One last scripture John 1:14a-b NASB And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, How does the Word become flesh in our lives? Well first of all you have to know Him you have to believe in Him we must hold to His teachings, His words, we become disciples in word and deed consistently as we live and experience life in 2016. We know the truth THE WORD, THE TRUTH, BECOMES FLESH IN OUR LIVES IN OUR PUBLIC AND PRIVATE OBEDIENCE AND CONDUCT THEN THE TRUTH WILL SET US FREE OF THE ANXIETIES OF LIFE. When someone ask then we can lead them to the same truth that set us free. 2015 conduct will not suffice in the world of 2016.

The value of a man should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive. – Albert Einstein...
Proverbs 11:25 NASB
The generous man will be prosperous, And he who waters will himself be watered.
To be a giving man is a Christlike attribute. We all have favorite scriptures or quotes on giving and generosity Proverbs 11:25 and a quote by Albert Einstein are two of mine.
Psalms 1 describes a man whose walk, or life, finds favor and blessing from the Lord. Verse 3 is a challenging scripture for me personally "Psalm 1:3 NASB He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers. Just think about a tree what does a big tree provide, it provides shade. Have you ever walked into the shade on a hot sunny day? It refreshing you feel it as soon as you walk under the shade of a tree. It provides shelter for birds and animals, it produces oxygen CO 2 , it reproduce itself by its fruit. You can make your own list. A tree gives more back to the environment and the earth than it takes. I want to be like that. I want to give more back to my wife, family and friends than I take from them, to my community and give more back to life to life than I take. Don't be a taker be a giver.
Lord could my value be found in what I give back not in what it take. That's challenging, to cultivate a personal private life of giving back more than I take. I think that it's Christlike and should be part of every man's ethos. It will work for women too but I'm writing this to men. If I could have learned this as a young man I wonder what a difference it would have made. If you learn it as a older man it's just as powerful with God's forgiveness, redemption and reconciliation.
" Lord could 2016 be a year of giving back more than I take to the people I Love."
Some of my favorite Christmas scriptures.
Revelation 1:10-18 KJV
I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. And I turned to see the voice that sp...ake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell
Revelation 1:5 NASB
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood-
Psalm 48:14 KJV
For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
My favorite Christmas scriptures. Not a baby's birthday but the birthday on the man that John saw the ruler of the Kings of the earth. And he is out God.
"It's my private life that gives impact to my public life."
Matthew 6:3-4 NASB
But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
The Lord look closely at our private life. To cultivate a powerful life takes effort. What if you mess well repent and try again it's it's worth all the effort, pain and embarrassment. I'm starting my 73rd year I'm still press on for it. You don't have to be the most talented or anointed you only need a,consuming desire to finish.
You don't need to be able to do many things but you must have a desire to do one thing. This one thing I do. Philippians 3:13-14 NASB
Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Psalm 84:10a NIV
Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere;
I'll take that.

A heart is a muscle..and what do muscles do when they are torn? They grow back STRONGER! – Ritu Ghatourey
Proverbs 4:23 NIV
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Be carefully what and who you open your heart to. Lots of things pull at your heart in our day. I've come to realize my eyes and ears do to my heart what my mouth does to my stomach. We need to be careful about what we let onto heart and what we fix our eyes on as much as what we put in our stomach. Once something gets into our heart its hard to get it out. I found my heart had a longer memory than my mind.
So if we are to guard our hearts we must guard our ears as well.
Mark 4:24a NIV
“Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued..
Proverbs 22:17 NIV
Pay attention and turn your ear to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach,
