The PRO version would include some additional cool features, which would not be available in a free version (like smart tag support, additional folder support or some cool team features). Would you rather pay a really small price monthly? Or would you prefer a fixed buy-once bigger price? We would really like to know your opinions!
We here at FontBase really value speed

Because of this, speed is our main concern when we are developing new features or functionality in our app. And because of this, we do everything to make FontBase the fastest font manager alive. All operations should take minimal time, and every action should give immediate feedback to the user. Browsing 5 fonts should be as fast as browsing 5 000 fonts.
This is why FontBase 2 will be like Sonic. And all the other font managers will be... like, well... turtles, in comparison

Good news, everyone!
Yeah, we know, it has been a while. Actually, a pretty long while. So what was happening at this time with FontBase? Unfortunately, not much. We had some different things to work on, as FontBase is only our side project and not a full-time job. But, we were constantly getting a lot of feedback from our users with suggestions how to improve and make FontBase a better app. That is really great and we love you for that ❤
So, long story short, we are getting ...back to working on FontBase! 🎉🎉🎉
We decided, that in order to add more features and have a solid base for growth in the future, we need to completely re-write FontBase from scratch, using a new engine and the latest tech. So, prepare: this might take a while. But, now we are working on a Mac and Linux version from the very beginning! So the next version of FontBase will support Windows, Mac and Ubuntu! Boom!
