My husband and I attended The Sweetheart Dinner on Valentine’s Day for the 4th time. It is always a wonderful evening that we look forward to each year. The Custer House is beautiful and makes a fabu...lous backdrop for a relaxing evening. The food, catered by Lady J’s, is delicious and is served by a friendly wait staff. A violinist playing period music while we dine creates a welcomed ambiance. If you are looking for a new dining experience for your next Valentine’s Day evening with your Sweetheart, this is the ticket! Just save a table for us! See More

I find it interesting that with so many of these forts that the story surrounding there creation is always so vague. It's like if we wish to accurately record history shouldn't we be honest about the ...fact that whites usually slaughtered, swindled, or simply removed them from the land where they strategically put forts to then control the Native American populace. They make it seem like oh the Natives we're here then the Whites came. It bothers me being if Niitsitapi descent that what really happened isn't more blatantly portrayed. The site itself brought many thoughts to my mind & I felt as if I could see the highs & lows that at once took place there. I would recommend visiting but come prepared to hear a narrative that's very lukewarm. See More

My favorite bicycle ride is out to Ft. Lincoln State Park on the paved trails......then riding the great off-road mountain bike trails inside the Park. Really love the new trails through the woods of the campground area! See More

We stayed overnight at the horse camp on our way back to Montana from Minnesota. So serene and beautiful. A little hard
To find since we arrived after dark but park rangers spotted us and led us to ...the camp. It is absolutely gorgeous. See More

A delightful camping facility on the west bank of the Missouri river with ample accommodations and the added dimension of a historical venue and an abundance of trails.

Very nice campgrounds! Only thing, it would be great to have garbage cans closer to camp sites. Our family enjoyed our stay and will be back

It's a great state park. The park rangers/employees work so hard to keep the park beautiful + they provide monthly events which are very fun to participate in we are very grateful to each and everyone there.

Clean and quiet atmosphere. We visit every year, but this is the first time we camped. It was July 4, so we were surprised to learn that they would let one more RV and a tent into he campground. Ki...ds loved it. Nice walking trails along river (no swimming). Reasonable, delivered onsite, ice costs. See More

Amazing part of history! We are from Australia but it was incredible to visit the forts and the the Native American mounds and learn the history of the area!
