Can this be true? I’m going to research for my own peace of mind.
I realize this post is days overdue. As some of you know I spent the last four weeks in and out of the hospital after my 89-year-old father acquired Covid there while being treated for a slight stroke. I spent election night praying at his bedside. Yesterday was my first breather and my grief and tears are now slouching toward acceptance and memories as his condition worsens.
I sincerely wanted to thank everyone for their overwhelming support and kindness. I am humbled and a...mazed by how quickly our grassroots efforts came together. I met so many great patriots and truly good people. I learned a lot about the local political landscape and promise you that you haven’t heard the last of me. I believe we must all unite around our President to preserve our way of life. I will be working towards that goal and have started to formulate a plan for same. In the meantime, I will support Jim Pruden and do all I can to help him defeat Ted Deutch and regain control of the House.
I especially want to thank my husband John for his encouragement, support and cooperation, as I’ve neglected him since June. Also, my dear friends Rod and Jackie Hansen-my cheerleaders, and my inspiration. Jackie helped me form a biblical perspective of the issues, was a great message advisor and was and remains my true north. James Fry, who came up with great ideas and solutions and was able to get them done-yesterday, and to Kathy De Benedetto, my wingman who brought organization to the helter skelter of a last minute campaign. And last but not least, to my sister Susan who knows the issues inside and out and helped me from the beginning—I love you.
I also want to sincerely thank my opponent Darlene Swaffar who was the one I reached out to after my father’s stroke. Her direction and knowledge of the Medicare system was invaluable. She’s the real deal. I will be forever grateful for her advice and the consolation of my heart and I’m certain she will remain a lifelong friend, Deo Volente.
This was a fantastic journey and I met many American Patriots as well as some people who really didn’t like my positions at first but after thoughtful communication we were able to find common ground. I am truly grateful for the experience.
Kindest personal regards,
Fran Flynn
