When Ronald Reagan knew his father-in-law was dying, he desperately wanted him to have hope and peace—not only for the days he had left, but for eternity. So President Reagan wrote Dr. Loyal Davis, who was an atheist, a letter and carefully shared his experiences of answered prayer and his personal faith in God through Jesus Christ. Things he had wanted to say for a long time, he put into words. He didn’t miss out on the opportunity.

How about you? Is there someone that you...’ve felt you should talk to about God? Every second, people are stepping into eternity and they have one of two destinations—Heaven or Hell. We need to tell them how they can spend eternity in the presence of a God who loves them, if they will accept His Son Jesus Christ in repentance and faith. Read Ronald Reagan’s heartfelt letter in the link—it’s a treasure. And write in the comments below if you will pray about sharing your faith with someone in your life.

Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:16-18)

What a memorable day in Nashville, TN, today! I thought you might like to see this video of legendary country music icon Charlie Daniels and The Charlie Daniels Band being joined on stage impromptu by one of the most well-known names in Christian music Michael W. Smith. They closed out our #DecisionAmericaTour prayer rally with a moving rendition of "Amazing Grace." An incredible crowd of over 8,600 people streamed into the plaza at the Capitol, standing shoulder to shoulder as far as I could see to pray for America. That’s powerful. I believe in prayer, and I believe it can make a difference in our country. This was stop #20 as I go to all 50 states urging Christians to take a stand for God’s truth and make a difference. We need to be involved in the political process at every level and let the Christian voice be heard. Next stop? Tomorrow I’ll be at the Capitol in Frankfort, Kentucky at 12:00 noon, and Thursday in Charleston, West Virginia at noon. Will you join me? Share this with others you know.
