Today was stop #37 on the Decision America Tour in Montpelier, VT. Vermont may have the smallest capital in the U.S. by population, but the people we met were big on prayer. It was exciting to see hundreds and hundreds of people show up to pray for America on the State House steps. One highlight of the day was meeting 101-year-old Josephine Vaught who came from two hours away with her family and didn't want to miss a chance to pray. One man who came was surprised and commented that he didn't know there were that many Christians in the whole state! Our nation's moral and spiritual walls are crumbling. We can't wait–Christians have got to stand boldly for their faith, pray, and vote in November.

The Word of God says, "Godliness exalts a nation" (Proverbs 14:34).

Target is in the news again. Their refusal to drop their transgender bathroom policy is going to cost the company—and the shareholders—big bucks! Fortune reports that “as it looks to reverse a drop in shopper traffic” Target is going to spend $20 million to install single-stall locking bathrooms at many of its stores. They could’ve saved a lot of money—and a lot of customers—by not adopting their dangerous policy in the first place! They just had a criminal incident last month at a store in Idaho. When over a million people sign a pledge to boycott, that’s a loud and clear message Target shouldn’t have a problem understanding—biological men do not need access into women’s bathrooms or dressing rooms!

It was a picture-perfect day in Augusta, Maine! What a privilege to stand with 3,200 people on the grounds of the Capitol to pray and ask for God's forgiveness and favor on our nation. Our country is broken in so many ways–but we as Christians can make a difference. We've got to pray, we've got to take a stand, and we've got to vote or we're going to lose this country. We need Christian men and women who've got some guts to run for office as mayors, city council members, school board members and on up to the state and national levels. Is God calling you to run for office? Pray about it.

The Bible says, "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong" (1 Corinthians 16:13).

I'm thankful for a judge with wisdom and common sense—and who has the courage to do the right thing. 13 states and two school districts had sued over President Obama's outrageous transgender bathroom decree–which Hillary Clinton supports. On Sunday, U.S. District Judge Reed O'Connor ruled against the administration. His 38-page order said federal agencies exceeded their authority in this matter, and he is so right. Thankfully, the injunction he issued applies nationwide and t...emporarily blocks this administration from requiring school districts to allow transgender students to choose which restroom and locker rooms to use. Share this–and pray that this will be a turning of the tide for the outrageous transgender laws that LGBTQ activists and the Democratic Party have been trying to force down our throats as a nation. This battle's not over–we've got to continue to pray.

Hillary Clinton is now claiming that General Colin L. Powell gave her advice on how to handle her emails—Colin Powell says don’t pin this on me! When we get caught in sin, our natural tendency is to point a finger at someone else. When God confronted Adam about his disobedience, he even pointed the finger at his wife. Adam said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate” (Genesis 3:12). Maybe we’ve all done this at some time, but that doesn’t make it right. It would be really refreshing if our leaders would stand up to their own wrongdoing and take responsibility.

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell is pushing back on Hillary Clinton's reported claims that he advised her to use a personal email account -- telling reporters that the Democratic presidential nominee is trying to pin the scandal on him.

The percentage of adults using marijuana has almost doubled in the last three years of the Obama Administration. Recreational use has been legalized in four states and will be on the ballots in five more in November. But if Christians had voted, maybe this wouldn’t even be an issue. I pray that Christians by the millions who didn’t vote in the last election will turn out to vote this fall. Let’s vote against these laws that are harmful to youth, to our nation, and to our futu...re.

I’m going to all 50 state capitols this year to hold Decision America Tour prayer rallies, and we have 15 more to go! Christians are fighting the battle for religious freedom all across this country—we just don’t hear about them all. Thomas Rost operates a Detroit funeral home as a ministry to serve grieving families, and he was sued by an employee who had been dismissed after informing his bosses that he was going to transition from male to female. The employee violated the dress code requiring men to wear suits. On Thursday, a federal judge dismissed the lawsuit and wrote, “Thomas Rost is a devout Christian whose life’s work stems from his religious beliefs, including that shunning one’s biological sex is an affront to God.” We need to be thankful for every victory for religious freedom in America! SHARE this if you agree.

A federal judge ruled on Thursday that a Detroit funeral home that "operates as a ministry" was exempt from a law protecting transgender employees because of its owner's Christian beliefs.

The Bible tells us, “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
For although they knew G...od, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened … Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.”
(Romans 1:18-25)

Here’s an update that’s a victory for religious freedom! U.S. District Judge David Bunning just dismissed three lawsuits brought against Kentucky clerk Kim Davis who refused to issue marriage licenses last year to same-sex couples because of her Christian convictions. You may remember that Kim spent five days in jail for refusing a judge’s order to issue the licenses. “This victory is not just for Kim Davis,” declared her attorney Mat Staver. “It is a victory for everyone who wants to remain true to their deeply-held religious beliefs regarding marriage while faithfully serving the public.” I thank God for men and women willing to take a bold stand for biblical truth—no matter the cost.

I was in Louisiana today with flood victims and our disaster relief team. The whole area had been under about seven feet of water. The amount of damage is incredible. Donald J. Trump, Governor Mike Pence, and Louisiana Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser came to our work site to encourage the volunteers and those who have lost so much. It meant a lot to these people. I appreciate them coming and hope that their visit will help shine a spotlight on the great need. This is the worst... U.S. natural disaster since Hurricane Sandy, and the media has moved on to other stories. The recovery here is not going to be a matter of days, it’s going to take months. Samaritan's Purse is set up with our disaster response rigs at the facilities of Tony Perkins' Greenwell Springs Baptist Church—we are grateful for their partnership. Remember the people of Louisiana in your prayers and go to our website http://sampur.se/VolunteerNow to find out more about coming to help as a volunteer.

It’s not being taken from us. It’s not being sold. It’s being handed over—and that’s a shame. President Obama and his administration are giving what has been U.S. control of a key component of the internet to a global organization. As one expert said, this group will get the “keys to the kingdom” on October 1, 2016. This isn’t smart. It’s another dangerous decision in a long line of bad policy moves by our government. This could potentially weaken our country and allow others access that could bring us harm. Why is Congress allowing this? I’m calling on Democrats and Republicans alike to put a halt to the giving away of one of the most valuable assets we have. Will you call or email your representative in Congress today and tell them to do everything they can to stop this obviously very dangerous decision?

The US government confirms it is on track to give up its control of the internet's naming system by October.

There seems to be more corruption in the news every day. Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane was just found guilty on nine criminal charges. It didn’t matter that she was the top law enforcement officer in the state. And news reports say that House leaders sent a letter asking the Department of Justice to file charges against presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Our leaders in both parties are flawed, our political system is corrupt, and our nation is in trouble.

The Word of God says, “They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved” (2 Peter 2:19). We need to pray for the future of America. Join me in praying for leaders with integrity who fear God and look to Him for wisdom.

As much of America comfortably watches the Rio 2016 Olympics, 11 people are known dead with over 40,000 homes damaged by historic flooding in southern Louisiana. Incredibly, tens of thousands have been rescued since Friday and thousands are still staying in shelters. Samaritan's Purse has staff on the ground preparing to go to work as soon as the waters recede and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association has deployed chaplains to minister and pray with victims. You can apply to volunteer and help in Jesus’ Name at www.samaritan.org. Will you pray with me for those in the middle of this crisis, especially for those who have lost their homes or loved ones?

Taking a silver in the 400 meter, Allyson Felix has just become the most decorated U.S. women’s track & field athlete in history! She makes no secret of her Christian faith on social media. Before yesterday’s big event, Allyson posted, “I praise God for it all.” She has also said, “I came to know Jesus Christ at a very young age…Faith leads my life. That’s definitely the reason that I run.” Allyson still has an opportunity for gold in the women’s 4 x 400 meter relay. I know her faith encourages many and I hope she finishes well. The Bible says, "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles..." (Isaiah 40:31).

Team USA sprinter Trayvon Bromell ran the 100 meter dash with a strained Achilles tendon yesterday and came in 8th place. But to put it in perspective, 8th place is less than .25 of a second behind the winner--Usain Bolt who took the gold! After the race Trayvon tweeted, “People telling me to hold my head up...👀👀😂 do y'all not know the God we serve, I will never hold my head down. God is great! #Blessed.”

What a great attitude Trayvon! You're definitely a winner God can use. The Bible says, "Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom" (Psalms 145:3). Let's encourage Trayvon in the comments below...

Today my heart goes out to the people of Milwaukee who are caught in the middle of violence and unrest–the community is being described as a powder keg of volatility. My heart also goes out to the people of Louisiana and Mississippi who are again experiencing devastating flooding and loss. Some may wonder—where is God in all of this. The Bible tells us that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). He promises to be with us through the tri...als and difficulties we face in this life. Join me in praying for those caught in the storms of life—many don’t know where to turn. Many don’t know that God loves them and that faith in His Son Jesus Christ can heal their hearts and change their lives. I’m so thankful that through Christ we can have true reconciliation and hope for the future. Share that truth with others today.

Today my wife Jane and I have been married 42 years. Four wonderful children and 11 grandchildren later, we are still in love. Happy anniversary Jane!

My parents were married on August 13, 1943—73 years ago today! They celebrated lots of wonderful anniversaries together before my mother passed away. My father Billy Graham said about their marriage, "It gets better as you get older. The secret is the Lord Jesus Christ–to have Him in the center of our lives. We were called by God as a team."

As they grew older it was obvious that my parents were more in love than ever by the way they teased each other and by the way their eyes lit up when they were together. He still misses her every day and looks forward to seeing her again one day. It wasn’t perfect—but I do think they had a marriage made in heaven!

Big congratulations to Team USA underdog swimmer Maya DiRado who won a gold medal for the 200 backstroke in a dramatic upset in Rio last night. This young woman's winning attitude goes far beyond swimming. She recently told reporters, “I don’t think God really cares about my swimming very much. This is not my end purpose, to make the Olympic team. I think God cares about my soul and whether I’m bringing his love and mercy into the world."

God loves you–He cares about your eternal soul. That's even bigger news than the Olympics. Share it with others today.
