As the 116th Congress comes to order today in Washington and new Representatives are sworn in, I would remind everyone to pray for each and every one of them. Pray that these men and women would have wisdom and discernment from God. Our country is in desperate need of God’s help.

The 116th Congress is gaveled into order at noon, with Democrats in charge of the House and an election to choose the next speaker decided by 2 p.m.

What was 2018’s leading cause of death? Cancer? Heart disease? Maybe gun violence? No, it was abortion—more than 41 MILLION children were killed worldwide last year in what should have been the safety of their mother’s womb. Abortion was also the leading cause of death here in the U.S., to our shame. Shame on the politicians, the advocates, and the providers who promote and allow this genocide to continue. It is my prayer that people will awaken to the heartbreak this is to our Father in Heaven—and should be to us as well.

What a memorable day in Nashville, TN, today! I thought you might like to see this video of legendary country music icon Charlie Daniels and The Charlie Daniels Band being joined on stage impromptu by one of the most well-known names in Christian music Michael W. Smith. They closed out our #DecisionAmericaTour prayer rally with a moving rendition of "Amazing Grace." An incredible crowd of over 8,600 people streamed into the plaza at the Capitol, standing shoulder to shoulder as far as I could see to pray for America. That’s powerful. I believe in prayer, and I believe it can make a difference in our country. This was stop #20 as I go to all 50 states urging Christians to take a stand for God’s truth and make a difference. We need to be involved in the political process at every level and let the Christian voice be heard. Next stop? Tomorrow I’ll be at the Capitol in Frankfort, Kentucky at 12:00 noon, and Thursday in Charleston, West Virginia at noon. Will you join me? Share this with others you know.

It’s great to be in Blackpool, UK, where I’ll be preaching the Gospel at Winter Gardens starting tonight at 7 PM.
