As many as five historic sailing ships will make their way up the Mississippi River to New Orleans next spring, joining the celebrations for the city's tricentennial.

SEABROOK RAILROAD BRIDGE (posted on 12/16/16)...
The Seabrook Bridge will be closed to marine traffic effective immediately Friday, December 16, 2016, until further notice. Trains will continue to utilize the span.

The bridge’s second link was determined to need immediate repair. Preliminary analysis indicates that the bridge should remain in the ‘down’ position for safety purposes until further notice. Port of New Orleans is taking immediate action and continues to evaluate conditions.
