Thanks to Hannah Macnorlin for her work with FSA students at our Human Rights Day celebration. Articles 13 and 14 of the United Nations Declaration on Human Rights were explored. The right to asylum a...nd to seek refuge is a basic human right and our students learned about the plight of young Central Americans immigrating to the US. See More

Our experience at Friends has been better than we could have ever imagined. It's the perfect fit for our child, and family. So grateful for this special place!

Friends education extends far beyond the classroom, and FSA invites community and models the value of compassion, commitment, and care.

Choosing Friends School of Atlanta for our daughter has been, hands down, the best parenting decision we have ever made. From our first tour, we were taken by their commitment to each child as an indi...vidual, and to each child's growth, not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well. Just one semester in, I can confidently say they truly live up to their promises. Our daughter is a quiet, introspective child who is generally content to hang back. We were happy with her previous school, but she seemed to get overlooked and left behind. We didn't realize how much she wasn't learning before, until we saw the change in her at FSA. Now she comes home telling us stories of what she's learning, and classes she loves. It is evident she's become a full participant in her education and community, not just a bystander. The FSA community itself is also something to behold. With a history rooted in the civil rights movement, and a philosophy that embraced mindfulness centuries before "mindfulness" was cool, FSA focuses on and teaches us all to focus on the good in every person. They model the values of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality and stewardship every day. If you are looking for a school that will truly "get" your child, and encourage them to be their best self, academically, socially, emotionally and as a citizen of the world, you could not find a better school. Our family came to The Friends School of Atlanta after years at another, highly sought-after, independent school in Atlanta. Our son loved his old school. Even so, after just a few weeks at Friends, h...e volunteered that he wished we'd known about The Friends School of Atlanta all along. He has blossomed in many wonderful ways. Of course, the school has top notch academics; we would not have considered it otherwise. But it has so much more. With the foundation the school provides, he can accomplish whatever he desires, and he knows it. We could not ask for more. See More

My daughter has grown so much academically and socially at Friend's. She loves going to school now. The environment is terrific, supportive, and character building. Their ability to teach to indivi...dual children, and show them learning as a way of life, has been wonderful to watch. We are all happier as a family for having Friends. See More

It was a joy to be with young future voters during silent (really not so silent) meeting - and to know that they are learning about integrity, community, peace and equality.
