My husband and I did not have an appointment, but were immediately greeted by Tim Shepard, one of the Design Consultants. After talking to us a few minutes, he proved he perfectly understood our taste...s and what we were looking for in bedroom furniture. He was very personable as he showed us different bedroom sets, answered all of our questions without hesitation, and the best part: he wasn’t pushy. He encouraged us to take our time and ask any questions that came to mind, and was very helpful in our decision process. I can’t say enough good things about Tim! The store itself is breathtaking but also a little overwhelming so we were glad he guided us through this process. There is a great selection at FLS, and something for everybody in this store. I made a purchase online with free white glove delivery around October 20th. Allowing for the three week turn around time, I still should have had my sofa table before Thanksgiving. I called the week ...before and was told it had just arrived and they had been trying to contact me. However they could not tell me when or who tried contacting me. I asked if it could be fed ex to still get to me. I was told they would check and call me back, but no phone call ever came. I called the day after Thanksgiving to cancel the order and was told it would take a week to appear on my card, guess what it has been two week and still no refund. I called and asked about it and was told it had been credited, but she could not tell me what card it had been credited to or how much was credited. At what point does customer service ever show up???? See More

We had such a great experience shopping for furniture. We flew in from TX just to shop at FLS. We were there one entire full day (9-5:30). Then we came back for another half day because we didn’t se...e everything the day before. My mother in law purchased an entire living room’s Worth of furniture and I purchased a few big items myself. I absolutely loved it and had the beat time! I’m an home furnishing merchandising major so it was like Disney World for me �. Highly recommend Patti!! She was awesome!! See More

We (wife Louise Clayton and me, Larry Clayton, Tuscaloosa, Ala) had a fantastic,, fruitful, and great visit. We lost our home destroyed in a fire in January and have been rebuilding and now needed to ...furnish the new house to be completed in Feb., 2018. Missy and Carol took care of Louise with great experience in the business and a personal touch to boot. This is our second trip to furnitureland south, and you need at least 2 trips to acclimate because it's so huge and shocking. Definitely plan on all day. � starbucks and subway are both inside and! We worked with 2 different designers at the store, both were great, and appreciated getting 2 different points of view. Our first ordered just came in and is perfect and just placed our second order. We won't give a single star to this company. But unfortunately we are forced to mark at least one to get this posted. We want to share our experience and express how disappointed we are with the servi...ces of this place. We wish would have seen all these reviews before our visit to the store. We agree with so many of them, and we hope other people check this before. Back in January 2017 we ordered a sectional for our living room, 2 barstools, a dinning set, and a desk for the office. You know you have to put half of the money of the entire purchase for them to start making your furniture, and they will start delivering them to you about 3 months later. First issue they sent the wrong color of the cushions ( saleswoman mistake), she ordered them again, delivered 4 weeks after, second issue barstools came in with damage, technician called, came in 3 weeks after, could not fix it, reorder them, 3rd issue the top glass of dinning table came in with scratch, order that again, 4th issue bottom of desk with a huge crack, order again, top of the desk with painting damage, costumer services contacted, and told the above mentioned technician will be able to fix it, when technician came for barstools was not informed about the desk, and did not touch it, we had to reorder again the top of the desk, 5th issue: second round of barstools came in again with damage, reordered again, 6th issue glass top of dinning table came in again for the second time with scratches, reorder again, and for the second desk the store informed us that arrived to them with scratches. Today, end of August 2017 we are still waiting for the 3rd top glass for dinning table, that is showing in the account that was supposed to be in store 2 weeks ago, and still is not there. We decided to return the desk and barstools, and we are waiting for them to pick up the bad furniture. They cannot return our money until the furniture arrive to the store. They offered a credit for the whole inconvenience of $300, and Diane said " I cannot go above that", but that is still in the air. They have the worst costumer service we have ever seen, they are very rude, unprofessional, and lack of compassion. Seems that we don't have rights as costumers. We are still waiting for more surprises. We hope people do better researches that we did. We don't recommend this store AT ALL. See More

Our family has been VERY PLEASED with all of our purchases from Furnitureland South, including the sales person we worked closely with, the customer service, the delivery process and the quality of th...e furniture! We are a military family and have been doing business with Furnitureland South for many years. When we lived too far to visit the store in person, the sales people were very helpful and easy to work with over the phone/online. Once we moved closer and it was more feasible to visit the store, we were able to spend 1 full day with Sherry Needles and it was definitely worth the trip! We furnished our teenage boys bedrooms after they'd grown out of their youth furniture, as well as the family room and kitchen in our new home, which needed some updating after several moves. Our boys waited comfortably in a lounge type room with extra large TV Screens, wifi, comfy recliners and a Starbucks and Subway across the hall! Sherry was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, not at all pushy, and very understanding of our needs and budget. Working with a salesperson is important, as the store is very large. Sherry was able to direct us to the style and price points we were looking for, without wasting time in areas of the store that didn't meet our needs. She also had excellent follow up to be sure we were pleased with our selections and even wanted to see pictures. Because we purchased several pieces we had multiple deliveries, which were easy to schedule. We received timely email notifications and updates as our furniture arrived in the store. We appreciated them making deliveries as our pieces arrived rather than waiting to make 1 final delivery. All of the delivery men were very polite, professional, and on time. We highly recommend Furnitureland South, for the excellent quality and savings compared to buying from a regular retail furniture store, AND the friendly and knowledgeable sales people who truly want to see their customers happy and satisfied with the entire shopping experience! Plan a trip to their beautiful store, know what pieces you need (including measurements) and look forward to a beautifully furnished and affordable home soon! See More

We just visited Furnitureland South to buy furniture after our entire home flooded. This is our second time buying from them. The second visit was even better than the first. We can't say enough abo...ut our design consultants, Emily Taylor and Brittany Morris. They were patient, hard working and honest. We have had the most horrendous experience with this company. This was our first ever experience with Furnitureland South and will be our last.

Mid October 2017 we ordered two Twin XL mattresses and... adjustable bases for our king bed. Early November, we got a call that our order came in damaged and they would be reordered. Late November, we got a call that our order was in and we could come pick them. We drove 30 minutes, in a borrowed truck, and sat for an hour and 15 minutes in the parking lot while they located our order. Once they located the order, we were told that they ordered 2 bases instead of 2 mattresses. So, they had 3 bases and one mattress at the store. We were told they would reorder them and deliver them for free for the inconvenience.

We receive a call mid December that the mattresses were in and they wanted to set up the delivery. The delivery drivers come to deliver our mattress with bases, but the mattress was wrong. They brought firm, we ordered plush. They took the mattress back, left the bases, and reordered. AGAIN. We got a call two weeks ago that our mattresses were in and they set up delivery for today. 1/23/18. We got our mattresses, they left them in the middle of the floor in our bedroom, refused to take our old mattress, and walked out. We thought delivery meant, delivery, set up, and removal of the old. We called and spoke with a supervisor who would not have the drivers come back and take the old mattress.

My 14 year old son and I set up this new mattress tonight as my husband has had 3 fairly recent back surgeries. We finally get these mattresses on the base only to find out they ordered twins and not twin XL. We have about a five and a half inch gap on our bed. We can not use this, we are adults not kids. So, we will be calling tomorrow to send these back. At this point you want to give up and get a refund, but I ordered these specific mattresses for a reasons an I want the merchandise that I have paid for.

It has been over 3 months trying to get these mattresses. This is unacceptable. How do these things keep happening?? How is there not one person who has taken this account on and made sure this is right for us. I have no idea how they have become the furniture empire when they treat customers like this. I can’t begin to express the frustration of this whole ordeal. I can honestly say I will never spend another dime with this company.

Terrible service following sale. Delivery was the worst experience and attempting to contact sales has been even worse. Furniture was ordered in December and delivered this Saturday. The boxsprings fo...r the king size mattress were punctured and damaged. The chair looks like it had something sitting on it that stretched the material. And the best part of the whole story, the couch was shoved onto the elevator, but apparently could not be removed from the elevator and was deemed undeliverable. The delivery team left behind parts of the couch, trash and the lightbulb they removed from the elevator. They were told the stairs would be a better option to bring the couch up, but apparently they could only come up 1-2 flights. We had THREE adults willing to help, they said they were returning it and would have to reimburse for the couch. No other options provided and told that if another couch was delivered we would be charged another delivery fee. Upon getting in touch with the salesperson, we were assured she would get in touch with her manager and the shipping manager because this should not have ever happened. A resolution was promised by this morning and never happened. We have called FOUR times. No return calls from the salesperson or her manager. This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. We will never purchase from here again and hope that someone can have the common courtesy to resolve this issue ASAP. Would never recommend following this experience. See More
