Don't Forget! Tonight is the night we move our clocks "ahead" one hour to be on time for Sunday worship! The pay off is...we gain daylight before bedtime until the Fall...
Keenagers gets started back up this morning at GBC in 90 min! If you're 60 or above and live close to Grace Baptist Church here in Brunswick you're going to want to be here this morning! Park in the south lot (around back), come in to the Family Center for check in and then into the main Worship Center by 10:30am. About 45min. of music, fun and a time of devotions in the Bible then back to the Family Center for corned beef and cabbage! Every senior is welcome!
Hey Senior Friends... Call up a friend or two and remind them that KEENAGERS starts back up tomorrow morning at G.B.C. here in Brunswick! We kick off our Spring season at 10:30am in the main Worship Center. Park in the South Lot (back lot) and come through Door H into the Family Center. After you check in there come on in to the Worship Center for our meeting time together. I'm looking forward to being with you in the morning! And...there's going to be a very special "St. Patrick's Day" lunch served in the Family Center right after the meeting!
This evening in our midweek Bible study of a "Survey of the New Testament" we are going to walk through the Book of 2 Thessalonians. Did you know the believers at Thessalonica had come to believe that the rapture had taken place and they had been left behind to face certain tribulation. Paul writes to them (inspired by God) to help then understand God's plans for His children near the end of the age. He tells them to "not be soon shaken..." Come out this evening to Bible study and walk with me through this wonderful book that helps us understand our "gathering together unto Him" on some glorious day! Awana Clubs at 6:45pm, Teen Ministries at 6:45pm and Bible study at 7:00pm in the Worship Center.
Hey GBC.... remember tomorrow is the "first Sunday" of a new month that means it our day to share our blessings from home with the local food bank! The trailer will be open in the parking lot and the big container is waiting in the mallway for your donations. Share the blessings you've been given with those in need.
Daniel was one morning asked by the King of Babyon, "Daniel, is your God able?" Daniel had the fearful occasion of being lowered into a den of lions because of his faith and his unwillingness to bow to those who commanded him to abandon his faith. He discovered that in the most dire of circumstances God was able to deliver him! That's the question we'll explore tomorrow morning in our 9:45am service. "Is God Able?" No matter what we may be facing we can know that God has the ability to deliver according to His perfect purpose, plan and will. I hope you've made plans to start your new week in the Lord's house. I can't wait to see you...
Pastor Steve and I are looking for GBC members to serve on a "hospitality crew" during the Passion Play presentation nights. You'll need to be on site at least 20 min. before the doors open and ready to help by either checking tickets at the door or helping folks to their seats. Warmth and friendliness certainly an asset! There's not much by way of "pay" but the retirement benefits are "out of this world!" Please either respond to this post below, see one of us at church or call the office to get on the list. Thank you...

A call to GBC men... We are in need of men who will be part of the "crowd" in our Passion Play. The play is greatly enhanced when the "crowd" is in the scene sometimes jeering and sometimes cheering. Asking our "guys" of all ages to come out and be part of something bigger than all of us together. You are needed and you will be blessed by being in this wonderful and dramatic ministry. Please come tomorrow evening at 6pm to the Worship Center and see Pastor Glenn. He'll be so very happy to have your involvement...
Please pray for Pastor Carson this afternoon in a special way. Pastor Justin had to run him back up to the Seidman Center this afternoon. Last I head from P.J. they were checking all his numbers at the hospital.
Here's today big news from GBC... Passion Play tickets are available today! Sitting at my desk in my study at home looking over my notes and the 8th chapter of the book of Nehemiah. What we find in this chapter is the beginning of a "spiritual awakening" in Jerusalem after decades and decades of sadness and bondage. There is hope for our nation. If we don't believe that we'll soon become cynical and bitter in spirit. Sunday comes every seveneth day as a new beginning. It's a new week. It's time to turn our hearts up the Lord in worship and look for a... better week. Sunday is not just another incidental day to catch up on all the things we wanted to do but didn't finish last week. It's a new day, a new beginning to a new week and it's the Lord's Day. Let's prepare our hearts tonight as we prepare to enter His courts with thanksgiving and come into His presence with praise! I can't wait to see my GBC family in the morning as we gather together in a renewed hope for a new week and new day! "This is the day the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it."
