Just attended the Mobile & Web Devcon and was very disappointment. First I'm glad my company didn't pay extra for the pre-conference labs because one of them was cancelled the day of the event. Had we... spent extra and taken more time off work that would have been unjustifiable. On day 2 of the conference another speaker cancelled. It was never commmunicated to the conference at key note speaker and some were not aware of the situation. They also shorted and break and moved up a speaker so some people missed another speaker. It was poorly organized. The wifi also was horrible and at a tech conference it should be expected that users will need to be online. The price for the conference was not worth the value of cancelled speakers and lacking wifi so you couldn't get work done during breaks or after the conference. The scheduling allowed for a lot of downtime that could have been bettered filled with providing more speakers and presentations. Extremely disappointed. See More

I was fortunate not to have the nightmare of booking a flight and accommodations to only have GSMI change the conference dates 2 weeks before the conference was supposed to start. My counterparts lost... money on changing flights and accommodations. However, I lost money on the conference.

They cancelled the both workshops and in place has someone speak for an hour. That same person presented the same presentation the next day at the conference. Everyone was only refunded for one workshop $495 when in fact it should have been $890 considering the speaker presented the same presentation again the next day. This does not include the money lost on an extra night hotel my company paid for, for a workshop they would have never had sent me to.

Conference day one, 3 speakers just didn't show up and one of the talks was replaced with something completely unrelated. Conference day two, at least mostly everyone showed up, but the presentations were not the topics stated in the registration package.

They claimed that presenting brands would be big names like Google, Facebook, and Dell - not one of them were present.

Do not spend your money on this.
