Some teachers relax at home or go on vacations with their family. Most teachers use this time to catch up on grading, lesson planning, or getting ready for the push to the end of the year.

As part of a school safety audit, all students participated in a mock school lockdown today. This was conducted by the Kentucky State Police along with local law enforcement. We would like to thank our students and staff for their participation.

It is said that you can never tell how much a teacher influences the world because you can’t see where their influence begins or ends. A teacher’s influence lives on in every student who sat in their classroom. Today we were able to catch a glimpse of this influence.....

Gallatin County Schools will be closed on Friday April 13th so that teachers and personnel can travel to Frankfort to support public education. As you may know, the state budget has been a controversial issue during this session of the General Assembly. The majority of our staff, along with statewide employees, believe that funding cuts and other decisions may negatively impact our district, school and teachers. With Friday and Saturday being the last few days of the legislat...ive session, our staff has decided to travel to Frankfort to petition the legislators and the governor on this matter. An updated 2017-2018 school calendar will be released soon. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but are pleased to make this announcement early so that our families can make arrangements. Thank you again for your support for public education and all public employees.
