My friend and I went to The Lost Museum tonight and it was by far the best haunted attraction I've ever been to. It's fun, interactive, visually entertaining, and has some good (not cheap) jump scares.... It's obvious that the owner put a lot of thought and work into it, choosing to tell a story rather than just usher people through a makeshift haphazard "haunt". If you choose only one haunted attraction when you come to Salem do yourself a favor and make it this one. See More

We spent the past 5 days in Salem & loved everything Gallows Hill has. Tales & Ales, Lost Museum, The main show and Ghosts & legends trolley! The entire staff was amazing, however our favorite was Bl...ack Mary Widow, BMW! We loved her! We went on different trolley tour our first night in town (Tales & Tombstone) that doesn’t even compare to the Ghosts & Legends trolley tour! If you are in Salem everything Gallows Hill does is a must! Not sure if you are able to request Black Mary Widow on your trolley tour, but she was great! See More

Very talented staff from the outdoor people who entertained us while waiting in line, to our guide. The kissing booth idea outside was hysterical. Been going to Salem for many years and this exhibit i...s now my favorite. See More

The portion at the beginning with actors and scary stories is awesome, with quite a few startle moments. The Ghosts & Legends Trolley (in October only) is AMAZING!!! My friends and I highly recommend ...Black Mary Widow (BMW) and Just Jack. :) See More

"Through The First Door To Salem"

As October's autumnal veil drapes Salem in morphic mist, the month moves on toward Halloween, & Samhain Eve. And if you can find your way to Lynde Street, Gallows Hill Theatre awaits. For framed upon this stage, within thirty minutes, a live re-telling of the city's spectral past, rises far above the tawdry offerings tendered elsewhere in town. It seems that here, however briefly, you can go home again. As within that small darkened chamber, lies the dream Salem.

"An Occulted Cellar Door"

Beneath the soil of Salem,
Where a mansion one time stood,
Was found a lost museum,
Filled with every evil good.

And there below the city,
In the light seen now once more,
Although dark, dank and gritty,
Through an occulted cellar door.

Tales and Ales was so much fun. Not too scary, but definitely not boring either. A must see if you find yourself in Salem, especially during Halloween.

I went for the Tales and Ales. They were all very nice to us, and funny too. The only thing I think that could have helped would be if we had tried an Ale, then gone in to watch a tale. If we had an i...ntermission tried an Ale then went back in for the second tale, and had the third Ale before leaving it could have been perfect. With that said the theater was intimate and the actor was A-mazing!!! He was so good! I had such a great time, and I would go back again! See More

Awful! Both attractions were beyond cheesy. The lost museum was the worst, we couldn't wait to get out. So mad we wasted $22 a person and an hour of our day!

I really enjoyed it. Actors were great. Get combo ticket. Lost Museum was cool, interesting and elements of surprise.

We watched the Main Show, (Super entertaining and scary!) took a walk through the new Museum, (total fun! Very imaginative!) and then took part in Tales And Ales - THE absolutely highlight of our visi...t to Salem! The Story Teller is a true marvel, and while the tasting was light hearted and fun, the stories told were truly creepy and brilliantly brought to life! See More

It's midnight in the village. During the month of February 1692 Sarah Good could be found wandering around the village with her daughter Dorcas, cold, destitute, and often argumentative.
