DAY 14 - Rock and tumble with granite
14 days with the tumbler running 24/7. Time to check and see how the granite is going.
Once again as expected the tumbler is full of grey slurry. I'm looking for rocks that are becoming rounded and it looks as if I'm getting there. I've rinsed all the rocks and media but saved the slurry from each barrel I expected the rocks to take a total of 4 weeks on stage 1 but I think some will be ready to move onto stage 2 after just another 7 days when they would have had 3 weeks at stage 1.
I've put the slurry back in and topped it up with a little more coarse grit (80).
Pic shows the rocks so far. Yes, they are matt, but that is how they should be at this stage

Today's project. Creating a contemporary sterling silver wrap around some stones that I rock hounded while in Skiathos last year and have since polished to a high lustre. I'm hoping to end up with a pair of earrings that will match or compliment the pendant I wrapped earlier. Here is some of the equipment I'll need to complete the task

Omg, I just received this stunning bracelet today, It's done with my mother's birthstone Citrine. When the light hits it, It's absolutely amazing. Thank you so much, Genie. This bracelet means so... much to me as my mother has passed away 13 years ago, so I will forever cherish it. Thanks again for listening to what I was looking for and for creating such a beautiful piece. I am definitely recommending your shop to my family and friends, I know they will not be disappointed, Thanks again. See More

This is just 1 of 2 bracelets, plus a Christmas ornament that I have bought from Genie Beader, so far. I am so impressed with the professional and detailed workmanship put into each piece. I live in t...he United States and each piece that I received, arrived perfectly intact. I can't tell you how happy I am with all 3 of these pieces. I've already picked out my next piece and have a wish list started. Thanks again Genie, your jewelry is amazing See More
