“Besides the great people I work with, I find satisfaction in every ‘Oh, you just made my day’ I get from our customers. My job makes me realize daily just how important Long Term Care really is for myself and my family’s future. To be as young as I am, I am already a huge advocate for Long Term Care Insurance. I am really proud of the work we are doing here.”

4th time in 6 months that my payment has not been received on time. Absolutely ridiculous. When I call to complain and have another check issued and set up direct deposit I get the run around and then... have to wait another 2 weeks for a check when it’s your mistake? Unacceptable. I should be able to set up direct deposit over phone and have MY MONEY available quicker than an extra 2 weeks, especially when my mortgage is being jeopardized because your company isn’t reliable. I will be looking to transfer elsewhere. See More

After over a decade of having a policy with this company I’ve only received payment on time once. This is by far one of the worst companies I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Hopefully after ...all is said and done someone buys them out and does a better job with all of their policies. See More

MetLife took over our Long-term Care Insurance from Travelers. Now that policy is nowhere to be found at MetLife or any of it affiliates including Brighthouse and Genworth. After 23 years of paying on... this insurance the policies for myself and spouse can no longer be found online and phone numbers provided are not responsive. Approximately 48 thousand dollars down the drain at a time when we may need it. So much for MetLife, Genworth and Brighthouse. See More

This is by far the worst company I've ever dealt with. I found another company to switch to, but the new policy wasn't in effect yet, so on June 18th, they drafted out of my bank account the entire's premium. My new policy got enforced with the new company and I canceled the policy with Genworth. As per their letter to me, the cancellation was effective 8/8/17. According to Genworth, they get to KEEP the entire year's policy that they drafted out of my bank account even though it was canceled only 6 weeks after they were paid for the entire year. This is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard. They are trying to steal my money and justify it in their eyes. See More

Can you give them less than 1 star? Repeatedly denies claims for my elderly father who has faithfully paid premiums for many many years. We have sent documentation ad nauseam and still they deny. Wai...ting for him to die so they won't have to pay. See More

I rec'd Genworth's form notifying me of option for continuing my current LTC policy coverage at a 47.6% increase! or pay less for much less coverage. And no return envelope. I'm expecting a bill fo...r the new huge amount, so they can cancel entirely. Very disappointed in the business practices of this company. The enclosed "thank you for your trust" message from Elena is a laugh. See More

I cant say enough positive things about Genworth. They have been helpful with my moms policy and helping me navigate the process as her POA. Strongly recommended! Thank you Genworth!

Their payment practices have come a long way in the rite direction. Redesign of website and being able to submit claims online have made a positive difference!

I have seen over 400 people make claims on their GNW policies. So far, so very good. There can be glitches w/paperwork, as with anything involving paperwork! Genworth has resolved the issues I experie...nced graciously. I saw the company reimburse a client for several years worth of an overlooked discount, reinstate a policy the client neglected to pay for over 6 months due to an address mistake, and actually pay for a claim the deceased never made before their death. Long-term care is not your usual insurance, and Genworth, in my over 22 years experience has gone the extra mile to take good care of their policy holders. See More

Horrible service, terrible caretaker compensation. The timesheets are confusing on purpose so that if you make any little error you won't get any compensation. It's basically setup to take all your lo...ved ones insurance money. The rhetoric on all the paperwork is so cloudy and unclear enabling genworth to cut care coverage even if the insured is bed ridden and needs 24 hour care they will only cover half of the day leaving family members scrambling for help or paying out of their own pockets. Corporate bureaucracy at its finest. See More

Raised long term rates by 41%. Shame on you after years of paying and just having a rate increase.

Do not buy a long term policy from Genworth. They are difficult to deal with every excuse in the book for not paying the claims

Horrible service by this company. Genworth stopped monthly payments for a disabled adult due to not getting back a change of address request. The payments were being automatically deposited into her... checking account. It couldn't have been a worse time for this to happen, right at Christmas time. When I called and asked why, they said because they don't have a good address, I asked why didn't they just call? No answer. Now its going to take a couple of weeks to get her payments back going again...SMH. Merry Christmas to you too Genworth. See More

Bought long term care policy in 2003. Premium was $ 1881. In 2014 premium jumped to $ 2257. In 2015 my premium jumped to $ 2708. In 2016 my premium was $ 2708. In 2017 it jumped to $ 3250.... So in four years, my premium jumped about $1400 a year. So where will they go from here? Frankly, i'm shocked. I could understand some increase. But this? Would you buy from this company knowing this? See More

I would not recommend Genworth. One of my residents was paying since she was 70 years old and when she turned 90, she went to the hospital. She missed a payment while in the hospital. Genworth canc...elled her! They never sent a certified letter to have her sign that she received it. They claimed they sent her power of attorney three letters. He did not receive any! They said they did not have her current address! Baloney!! As she was mailing checks from the same address for four years and we have a copy to prove they had her address! A lawyer is working on it and I will let every person I visit with as an administrator know what kind of scam your company pulled! Shame on Genworth for taking advantage of our senior citizens! My resident paid $24,000 to the insurance company and they bailed out when she was ready to go into assisted living. See More

If I could give a negative 10 I would! I have been dealing with this company for months regarding my dad's policy. He has been in 2 care facilities since January. We have sent all the proper forms, wa...ited the elimination period and now finally have been able to send claims in only to be told they are not covered??Also had 3 different claims representatives on his policy since I first made contact. Shocker. Customer service reps are nice enough but I have had to explain our situation every time I call there to a different person since you are unable to directly speak to the claims rep assigned to acct. Exhausting. 600.00 paid out when my parent's have been paying in thousands of dollars since 1997. Seriously Genworth?? He has dementia and cannot take care of himself and is living in an approved skilled nursing facility. This is the reason the policy was bought years ago. To pay for LONG TERM CARE. I am WAY beyond frustrated and my mom is going to run out of money soon. After reading hundreds of complaints about Genworth online-I know we are clearly not the only ones dealing with this crap. The next contact will be from our attorney. See More
