Shame on Party City.

It was just a couple of weeks ago when I found out that General Mills added a new variety to their Chex cereal line-up. The new variety is…. I was excited about the new Blueberry Chex because I am a huge fan of anything blueberry. I don’t eat a lot of breakfast cereal, but it is nice to know that there are more and more gluten-free options available every day. [ 236 more words ]
Long time no blog! I promise I didn’t fall off the face of the earth. I have been busy with my personal training clients and life. I have been sharing some gluten-free finds, reviews, and information on my Gluten-Free is Life Facebook page. In fact, that is probably the best place to “follow me” to stay in the loop. And happy celiac awareness month to you. I can think of a lot of words to describe this. "Genius" isn't one of them. 😡
Congrats! We love Bake Me Happy!
Papa John's Pizza is testing a #glutenfree crust in select cities. They are preparing it in a separate #gf facility before it is shipped to stores and is taking steps to prevent cross contamination at stores, but can't make any guarantees. They are not recommending the new pizza for those with Celiac Disease or serious gluten intolerance.
Would you try the pizza? To me, it sounds like most restaurants when it comes to gluten-free dining out. Unless the establishment is 100% gluten-free, there are no guarantees.
Jon and I ate at Cap City Grandview for dinner yesterday. Though we have both dined there previously, the gluten-free menu seemed much larger. There are 2 pages of options, many of them dairy-free in addition to #gf Jon had Fish & Chips (yes, they have a dedicated fryer!) and I had a burger on a bun and fries. We started with calamari that was tossed in a sweet chile sauce as an appetizer. They even have fresh #glutenfree bread to snack on before the meal! Truly impressed and will definitely be back! If you are in the Columbus area, this is a MUST try!
