i grew up being a firemans daughter..sister..niece.grandaughter..have made friends that i will have and have had my whole life..have soooo many great memories. hook&ladder always won the tournaments......after winning riding on the truck..feeling soooo dad is vinny Martinez .he made me proud to b apart of this family.tonight my brother gets his 30yr bar..niceee thanks for the memories.. On April 29-30, firehouses across the state of New York will open their doors to the public in an effort to increase membership in the volunteer fire service.

The City of Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department will be participating and marching this Sunday at 1pm - Support our firefighters and check out our apparatus!

On Sunday, February 25th, the Fire Chiefs Council of Nassau County held their 21st Annual Installation of Officers at the Coral House in Baldwin. This year, Ci...ty of Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department Chief Anthony Tripp was installed as President of the Council for the second year in a row and for the first time in the organizations History. The remaining Officers Installed were:

1st Vice President: Chief Thomas McDonough (Port Washington Fire Department)
2nd Vice President: Chief John Tassiello (New Hyde Park Fire Department)
3rd Vice President: Chief Jean Laurent (Uniondale Fire Department)
Sergeant-at-Arms: Chief Thomas Pellegrino (Oceanside NY Fire Department)
Treasurer: Chief Roy Dahlen (Merrick Fire Department)
Financial Secretary: Chief Anthony Tripp (City of Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department)
Council Secretary: Chief Richard A. Messina (Bellmore Fire Department)
