"As a leader, I've been educated & trained by UPWD (Urban Poor Women's Development) in the seminars on gender, violence, land security, and land law." Meet Korn Ouen whose leadership in her neighborhood of Chamroeun, Cambodia, has helped people learn their rights. Thanks to Korn's work as a leader with our grantee partner UPWD, Chamroeun now has roads and drinking water, the police respond to emergencies - and people in the community are talking about gender equality! For International Women's Day tomorrow Sunday, March 8th, let's #getloudfor women like Korn because when you empower a woman, they will change the world. #GiveADay to empower women everywhere. http://bit.ly/1B19Vsv

I think the organization is doing it's best in assisting women world wide.

My question is which approach is used in assisting these women...

Do the organisation advocates for political freedom for women

What is the organisation doing in assisting the girl child or the young women in the middle east and Africa

Is it money or food that the people need or there are looking up for sustainable projects that will emprove the livelyhood of a community

While expressing solidarity does not feel like enough during this escalating conflict, it's critical that we show our sisters and brothers in Syria that they are not forgotten.

The conflict has broken into several small wars, and the carnage is reaching a new peak, upending any assumptions it might be nearing an end.
