Mexican companies are increasingly using RMB as the currency of choice in their transactions.

In 2016, 15% of the transactions between Chinese companies and Mexican ones have been made in Yuan, compared to 5% last year.

The main reason for the use of RMB is to avoid the currency-related risk of the triangulation between the Mexican Peso, the US Dollar, and the Yuan.
