They only charged me $10 for installation for wireless broadband. I think it was extra for the router but comparable price, maybe around $80. Although my monthly bill is expensive, it was my choice to... go with the expensive one to ensure streaming video and music. Along with other misc. tasks of email and phone apps. It's been about 6 months, it has dropped occasionally for a few moments but nothing significant. It has not gone down during winter or hail storms. See More

Oh where to start...the outrageous prices or the fact that they illegally are the only Internet provided or the fact that I pay a ridiculous amount of money for 15mpbs for Internet and I never get tha...t much. Oh I'm supposed to buy the mode and router that you sell for $1000 a piece?! How about you step into the modern age! For example for $50 I can get 100mpbs in California. Step your game up or let someone who knows what they are doing provide Internet access for granite county. 900kbs instead of 15mbs is absolutely ridiculous. Step up your game.
Everyone who has to suffer with your garbage Internet.

Awesome service quick response. Shout out to Tim and Travis he was on his way out when I got home and turned around and got the problem fixed. First time user and couldn't be happier with the service ...I have received. Compared to other companies these guys are top notch. See More

Internet speed dips significantly enough to lose connection at least a dozen times a day, if not more. This has been going on for at least 4 months now that I know of. I have been told though that thi...s is how it has always been. A service is paid for with the expectation of receiving equal service. Please live up to your end of the service agreement, and provide what is paid for. See More

With the update to Blackfoot email, I now cannot simply delete one message at a time from my inbox. I highlight one, hit delete, and two or three messages end up in the trash box. I move them back t...o the Inbox until the next time I want to delete a message, and lose them again. Doesn't matter if I start at the top of the list or the bottom, whether I highlight one message or several, additional ones are deleted. Very irksome! See More

Blackfoot has provided our business voice and data service since 2011. We couldn't be happier with the service as it continues to improve year to year. Most recently we installed Blackfoot's Ergo over IP phone system. It's been a huge help and time saver over the course of a busy summer. With so many "web based" systems and software in place, it's vital to have the reliable network provided by Blackfoot. Customer service, it's fantastic. The phone never rings more than twice, and a HUMAN answers the phone. They've always been able to rectify any situation in a timely manner. I'd highly recommend Blackfoot for your business.

Blackfoot screwed up my parents phone lines putting in phone lines for fire crews. Yes, I am aware that fire crews need phone lines. However, Blackfoot screwed up several lines on Saturday morning (8/...29), however, if we wanted the line fixed before Monday, it was going to cost them a minimum of $276. Kyle K, a manager, is of no help what so ever. He would not admit that is was Blackfoot's fault even though I was told the night before it was. Unfortunately, the woman that told me that the lines being broke were Blackfoot's fault will probably get in trouble for releasing that info from Kyle. Kyle is one of those- don't admit fault, so we can get the customer to pay for stuff we break- kind of guys! I wish we had a choice of phone companies in our area, but unfortunately we are stuck with this one. This is not the first time we have had trouble with them. See More

You guys are the worst.
Horrendously slow internet. We had 1.5Mbps for quite some time but the actual speed was around 700kbps, then upgraded to 8mbps for nearly $100 a month and nope on average it ru...ns 5mbps and more often then not has horrible problems and runs slow all the way back to 1.5/2mbps. They hold such a monopoly over the Internet in rural Montana it's ridiculous and borders on the criminal. I'm switching as soon as possible, straight up the final straw. See More

I finally had the opportunity to switch Internet providers several months ago and jumped at it. I had Blackfoot Internet for about 4 1/2 years and had dozens and dozens of service calls over that per...iod. This included internet and telephone issues. Nothing the technicians did was able to fix our continued slowdowns and connections issues. We were limited to 1.5 by 1 Mbps but even at that slow speed we continued to have problems. At one time we were sold 8 by 1 Mbps service but were told by a high ranking official within Blackfoot that the most we could expect was the original 1.5 X 1 Mbps and he guaranteed that they would take care of our issues. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, we still continued to have slowdowns and interruptions. Blackfoot could have taken care of our issues but they would have had to spend some money on equipment and that wasn't going to happen. They even had a fiber line a stones throw from our house but wouldn't spend the money to activate it. Finally, Access Montana out of Ronan installed a wireless solution and now we have very reliable 4 X 1 Mbps service at a reasonable price. Access Montana provides this same technology in other nearby small towns. See More

Text support either will not or cannot call to respond to service issues. It is absurd to have to wait 48, 72 or maybe more hours to get assistance to proven problems with their service. I'm paying fo...r 8 Mbps and getting 1.23 or less Mbps. Nope, tech support can't call me and address the problem! Just terrible service!! See More

When we moved our offices a few years ago, we decided to keep it local for phone and internet services so we chose Blackfoot. During the process a contract was signed and things were set up. Fast forw...ard to now and the phone system and internet service we are under contract to pay for our small office is terrible. We pay at least 250.00 per month for 3 phones and 3 computer connections. Between our phones rebooting daily and staring at our computer screens waiting for things to load we have had it! We have made multiple calls and emails to ask to be released from the contract because we are not satisfied and are told every time they are not willing to do so. Once again we have called today and we were told that the cancellation fee would be 4,300.00. In today's day and age, there should be no way a company should be allowed to keep people hostage with something they are not happy with and does not perform as promised. Our company suffers on a daily basis because we tried to stay local. WHAT A JOKE. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES BLACKFOOT! See More

🏆 Blackfoot was honored to receive the 2018 Employer of Choice Award for large business from Job Service Missoula Employers' Council at a ceremony on Wednesday at the Holiday Inn Missoula. Congratulations to Paradise Dental Technologies and Alter Enterprise LLC for winning the categories of medium and small business respectively. #ConnectToMore

The awards are handed out to three local businesses every year based on benefits offered to employees, leadership, workplace culture, employee development, community involvement and other criteria that make them great workplaces.

At Blackfoot Telecommunications cooperative in Missoula, employees get 14 holidays per year on top of their paid vacation and sick leave. They also get a pension when they retire, a benefit that has mostly gone the way of the dinosaur in the private business sector in America.

This morning, we celebrated a huge milestone for our employee, Randy Teague – 40 years with Blackfoot! 🎉 If you live around the Seeley Lake area, you probably know Randy as the friendly face of Blackfoot. During his time with the company, Randy has seen the birth of the Internet; our services advance from analog, to digital, to fiber optic; and Blackfoot grow from a rural telephone provider to a regional technology leader. Even more special, Randy’s family helped found Blackf...oot in 1954.

As Randy put it: “My grandfather was one of the founding fathers of this company and I’ve been involved with it in some way since I was a baby. My dad used to take me when he was out working on the lines for the phone company. I actually got my first check from Blackfoot when I was in the 5th grade, helping repair phones. So I’ve actually been around longer than the official 40 years. I still have that original check stub and I’ve worked for Blackfoot every single year since then. It’s more than just a job. The company means a lot to me. And so do the people! I like my job, I like the people and what we’re doing – the future is going to be great.” 😁 Congratulations, Randy!
