Thanks to the kindness of one GLM user, whom I will just refer MC, I can now offer a link to the Excel file. The link is http://tinyurl.com/GoldListMethod Now all this is, you see, is a presentation of how you set up a notebook so that the different parts of it do what they should. If you want to print it out and use it as a looseleaf goldlist system then you will probably need to re-adjust it first to your printer. It contains cel comments which explain what needs to be done... where and what the different parts of this are for.

Should you wish to do goldlisting using the keyboard (which is not recommended but some people want to get accustomed to things like using the keyboard in Arabic, Cyrillic etc, or they simply cannot bear using a stylus) and can't wait for the App, you can also make a spreadsheet with multiple worksheets for this, and copy it across multiple Times so that instead of just having 25 words you get a whole project, with either paper free Goldlisting or you can print the ready sheets.

This will also be of use to me in preparing the Goldlist book, which is still in the pipeline.

The download should start immediately from our friend's site.

While posts and discussions are still welcome here, that does better suit a group rather than a page context in Facebook, and so today a Group called GoldList Method Users Group has been set up and all are welcome.

Goldlist Method compliant 12-step study guide which ought in my opinion to be adopted by Education Boards internationally in preference to the subjective CEFRL approach. This version contains amendments taking account of initial comments in the Polyglots group here on Facebook.

Your comments welcome.

As a language student, the experience of being taken for or discovered as a non-native speaker can be frustrating. The reasons why this happens can be divided into visual and audio ones.

Visual:
- racial appearance
- dress...
- carrying written material in your language
- company
- documents, name badges, logos

Audio:
- you were heard speaking your own language earlier
- speed of delivery
- grammatical errors
- choice of words
- intonation
- inability to mimic native enunciation of individual phonemes
- lack of vocabulary

Also, bear in mind that in some places speaking English is the default behaviour so don't take it personally in airports or highly starred hotels.

Bear in mind also that there are those who actively hunt out foreigners because they are trying to practice English or they have goods and services aimed at foreigners. If one of these types assumes you are foreign, it may be just their wishful thinking coupled with a lucky guess.

This is the first of a new thing - the Goldlist Excel Sheet. Those who wanted the Excel before and couldn't get it can now have this improved version. I need an email address or a skype contact to send an Excel file.
