This is an interesting and unconventional restaurant. It has a full luncheon style menu, but it is organized around a large selection of spectacular desserts. You can get there early and buy a loaf of... apple cinnamon bread over the counter (double yum) or you can show up in the evening, sit yourself down, and order a sandwich or salad and top it off with creme brûlée. Despite the excellence of their offerings, and how beautifully they're rendered, the prices are very reasonable. In good weather they have a very nice outdoor patio and their hours of service go from quite early to very late. Well worth a visit. See More

Love all the delious pastries we had (8 for the 5 of us). Breakfast was very tasty as well. The perrsion pancake was yummy. Service was very good for us but we came at a good time. The people behind u...s weren't so lucky. Many empty tables while they were just standing there. See More

I am extremely disgusted and disappointed with my dining experience his evening. Our server was awful. She didn’t even bring the coffee we ordered when we sat down. There were 4 of us. Our server was ...not engaged with us at all. The food was absolutely disgusting. My asparagus pasta was not even close to warm. It was cold. It was watery. I sent it back. Still came back cold and I paid for it even though I didn’t eat it. My Moms beef tips were dry. It was the worst experience I have ever had there in 15 years. Very. Very let down. See More

This has always been my fave place to go for dinner when heading downtown but my visit last night left feeling a little disappointed.

I had ordered the brisket and grilled cheese panini with the onion soup. The soup was very bland and the sandwich was more of grilled pickled red onions and very little brisket.

Wanted to order dessert and was very disappointed with the selection, especially since my fave cookies, the Gran Marniere madeleines, were not in the case. In fact most of the dessert case seemed very empty. I ended up getting some little brothers but they seemed a little stale and just not the same

I came on a Thursday early evening to buy pastries for my birthday. My server was very nice and patient while I picked out a bunch. The place is lovely and the desserts are wonderful. I want to return... sometime and sample their dinners. See More

The service was great. I had a feeling the quiche was from the previous day. The mushroom and bacon filling was nice but the crust was hard and couldn't even be cut with a knife. I would come back if ...ever in SLC again (unlikely) but will order something else. Fruit accompaniment was awesome! See More

Best Creme Brulee Oatmeal I've ever had, and I make my own! It's fantastic. Every pastry and meal has been such a delicious experience, keeps us coming back! My children love it as well!

First: Summer lasagna had a pound of lettuce on top that made it look like a salad with some pasta underneath, pasta was undercooked, flavors were under developed, just tasted like one note of salad ... with some mushrooms.
SECOND: The prime dip Au ju was so horrible! It tasted like the bottom of the pan and contained SO MUCH coarse ground pepper it made me sneeze.

Bakery selection was kind of dull, didn't have many options, at least what I was looking for. If I knew how to make macaroons I would never have to go there again.

Also a disgruntled customer next to me knocked over his soup and plate dish causing my to have a nice shard of plateware sticking out of my foot.

Best desserts in SLC. Really good coffee too. Whenever it's late and I want a seeet treat, I usually think of Gourmandise. I've liked everything I've had there because it's not too sweet and very flav...orful. The creme brûlée oatmeal is my favorite as far as food goes. Just delicious! See More

Pastries look great but once you try them you can tell they are not very good. I like fine French pastries but these feel more like grocery store bought. It's too bad because its a nice place.

Lovely place. Great food, coffee and pastries.
Also a great place for traditions.

These mini tarts and eclairs would be perfect for any wedding or function! Call us for more catering information.
