Amber is in Jackson Hospital. Her kidneys have crashed and stopped working. We are waiting on them to put in dialysis ports on Monday. Her kidneys had been going down hill for years but she's a hard worker and loves teaching so she just dealt with it and managed her kidney function as her doctors directed. Its not all negative though. Now she can go on dialysis and keep all the poisons out of her blood wh...ile she waits on the transplant list. Since she is a type one diabetic she qualifies for a kidney pancreas transfer. This would mean she would no longer be a diabetic or have to deal with that at all. Please pray with me that God will turn this test into a testimony, that all will go well with the procedure, and that she will be able to get her transplant as soon as possible .
I was told today, that the reputation of our church was ruined the day they let a biker become their pastor. I guess I ruined the LORD's reputation the day He forgave me of my sins and welcomed me into the family of God. So glad He loves me, He saved me, and He gives me opportunity to serve Him in His church. I've been told by people here in Evergreen, that they won't come here because we are a white church, because we let black people worship with us, and because of certain ...other people who still attend and they can't stand to be around hypocrites like them. But not coming because I'm an old biker is a new one on me. If you can't worship next to someone of a different color than you, a hypocrite that is seeking God's help to be better, or an old biker, don't expect to be welcomed into Heaven either. It will be filled with people just like the ones you judge to be unworthy of your presence here on earth. We are a collection of imperfect sinners washed in the blood of Jesus trying to live a righteous and holy life the best way we can. At least we are trying. Maybe if you'd come try with us, God will heal and forgive you of your arrogance, pride and prejudice. He will if you ask Him. Jesus died for you too, just like He did for this old biker. So glad He risked His reputation on me. I will forever love and serve Him because He did.
Grace Way will be dedicating a new altar this Sunday, February 4th, that was just constructed as part of a mild interior remodeling. Everyone is invited to share in this wonderful occasion with us at 10:30 Sunday morning. Message title is “Rebuilding The Altar”.
If you ever used to attend here, or it's just been awhile, please come celebrate with us. One of our district officials saw what we've done and said "Looks like you're going old school".
Well, maybe....but what we're really doing is going back to our knees at the foot of the cross. There is a much needed purpose for an old fashioned altar. Join us this Sunday and "experience" it for yourself....again!
Grace Way.....a place to belong.
A timely word for the church today!
God gives you a Grace Period.
"... the Lord is not late with His promise to return, as some measure lateness. But rather, his “delay” simply reveals His loving patience toward you, because He does not want any to perish but all to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9
SUNDAY February 4th, we will have an ALTAR DEDICATION service at Grace Way. The new additions to the sanctuary are both cosmetic, and functional. Nothing has been taken away, but new things have been added. It will be be beautiful when completed! We once again have an old fashioned altar and we will dedicate it to The LORD!
If you have ever attended this church in the past, please join us again for this wonderful event! Service begins at 10:30 a.m.
Prov. 28:9 (NLT) "God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law."
If we won't pay attention to God's Word and do what it says, why should God pay attention to our prayers and do what we ask?
Stone is going up and looks amazing! Kneeling cushion has been ordered for altar. Sanctuary is almost completely repainted. We are EXCITED about the face lift to our house of worship! PRAISING GOD for it ALL!
The church sanctuary renovation is well under way! New altar, some stone walls on platform, new paint, window blinds and security system are all on the to do list. Nothing old is going away, just some new added touches. It will be beautiful when completed!
