Circle Time!
Also called morning meetings.
Circle time is of outmost importance in Kinder, Pre-school and sometimes in early primary grades, as it is the moment to settle everyday vocabulary, to share experiences and to know each other.
Remember the basics of Circle time and that it should not take you more than 15 or 20 minutes....

It would be great if we could integrate social and emotional skills in our syllabus. Teaching and helping teens and pre-teens get grip of what RESPECT is and how it feels for them is essential.
Here's a freebie from pinterest you can use to work with this great Value to foster in class.

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT: How to respond to rude, disrespectful student attitudes

How should you respond to the little things students do that are rude, disrespectful, or just annoying?
What should you do for minor behaviors that don’t necessarily warrant some kind of consequence, but that you can’t let slide every time?

Environment & Circle Time:
During “Circle Time”, encourage children to bring in objects or photos, and tell the rest of the class a little bit about them. THEY shine, not the teacher!
But remember: A 3 or 4-year-old child's attention span is about 5 to 8 minutes according to child development experts. Therefore, 15 minutes is a reasonable duration for Circle Time at preschool.

Here's an example of how to integrate ACTION SONGS into your classroom. An energizer we enjoyed in one of the TEK on-site courses! If you want this and more tips, enrol now in my new TEK course in Buenos Aires!

Music is an amazing tool for teaching languages, especially to children.
Good songs will bounce around in the kid's head long after the lesson is over.
And they also consolidate vocabulary! In this case, Baby Shark can be used to teach the FAMILY vocabulary.

Project based activities.

A middle school teacher incorporates project-based learning whenever possible. She had never provided her students with a consistent structure to use when managing their projects. Poems! Kindergarten children love to do the same things over and over again! Repetition is the most important key to the development of many important language skills.
You can add props or instruments to help a poem come alive.
For example, this HUMPTY DUMPTY cube! It's so much fun.

"10 Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall;
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again."

And then, 9... 8... 7... and so on.
