I have mixed emotions about this place. It was our first visit to the restaurant and to start we went in and the host offered us communal seating or bar which w...e replied communal. Then they said, oh well you have to be out by 7:15 because we have a party reserved there. It made us feel almost unwanted. I think there could have been a better way to communicate that or just not offer the seats at all. Next our server seemed disconnected, not welcoming and was barely there. The food was good, we had the plantain mole enchiladas and tacos. Tacos were a bit lackluster not that great. Had a mezcal and cider drink which was really good, dessert we had the pineapple upside down cake and Mexican wedding cookies, both were good minus the ice creams which were not creamy and tasted like flavored frozen ice. I don't think we will be back. Service is so important and for what you pay you would expect service to match the ambiance and food served at the restaurant. First off, great ambiance. You feel warm, cozy and relaxed as soon as you walk in. It's a vegan restaurant, I'm not vegan, but I've been here twice now and the ...food is delicious. I'm also a tequila lover, so it's my kind of place with all my favorite high end tequilas plus a few I haven't tried. Great prices in their tequila flights. I'm pretty sure if you like Mexican food, you'll love this place. If you can get seating on the patio, it's beautiful! Enjoy! عرض المزيد

Food was tasty but not worth the exorbitant price for sure. Ordered tamale dinner but the plate only came with one! Good thing we had ordered appetizers and sha...red the other dinners. LA vegan elitism at its finest. {eye roll} Sure, Gwyneth Paltrow + Kate Hudson like to dine here and SO WHAT? The food feels heavy with all the corn, potato ...and bean laden dishes. Their signature margarita "Purista" is tasty yet completely watered down. It's too bad the haughty servers' attitudes don't match the warmth and beauty of the interior design elements. Over priced and under delivered.
If you think the concept of vegan tacos sounds too good to be true, then: sorry to say: it is. At least here.
Weird texture a...nd taste combinations that too many times felt like something you would've done better yourself, at home.
Dessert, drinks and nachos were good. But overall a poor experience mainly due to the food in combination with the high price. :( عرض المزيد

I like the new menu and the drinks were interesting and the food was so! good I could have just ordered appitizers and desert! Always consistent with the wait staff and of course with good friends makes for a great dinning experience!

I'm not a vegetarian or vegan so I did not like the dishes so much. Lot's of beans and potatoes in my chimachanga (looks like a fried burrito). But if you you are vegan or vegetarian you are in heaven.

Great vegan food. Lots of squash and jackfruit based food. Bartenders were a bit rude because they did not have time to keep up with the demand. Our waitress Fa...lon was super nice

The food was out of this world. Regardless of whether one is a meat eater or vegan the food is spectacular!!! Beautiful combinations of the best ingredients tra...nsport you to another world. I have to say I enjoyed my meal and the ambience was great! Our waitress was nice and we had a great time. Super crowded though! (Good for them) I ordered the S...opes. Very tasty. Though nothing I hate made me feel like I was eating Mexican food. But, yummy none the less. We ordered the apple and fig dessert with ice cream....SO FREAKING GOOD! I'd go back for sure. عرض المزيد

By far one of the best restaurants I have ever visited. The food, service, ambiance & the spicy margaritas were fabulous. We had a reservation which you just have to have as it's extremely busy. Loved it!

Excellent Vegan cuisine. Can't wait to go again. We drive from San Diego. They let me bring my pug in with me and got her water in a doggy bowl. She took a nap next to me while I had the sampler menu. It's that good 😊

Pricey but so worth it for all organic vegan good. Everything tastes so good! Also I loved that is was legit vegan version of Mexican food. Loved the ambience.

I've been a vegetarian for a year and sum months now so this was actually my first vegan restaurant and it was so good. I loved the way the restaurant was deco...rated and the restroom was clean. Our waiter Daniel (I believe that was his name) was so cool as well. This place is far from where I live but it worse a trip there now and then. The food was awesome. Gracious Madre is NOT what is once was. I have watched the food portions SHRINK while the prices go up each and every year. Today I ordered a black
bean burger......how about a tiny little black bean patty and very small portion of avocado with your expensive $16.00 ciabatta bread?!?! Gracious Madre you have really become quite a disappointment and the food is not as good anymore because you are raising prices and scimping on the portions. What gives??? The black bean burger used to be heavenly...same with bowl uno....it's so very OBVIOUS that you are making the better portions smaller (black beans, cashew crema, guacamole) and adding more bread and rice content to these dishes. I'm wondering if this is due to the now carniverous owners needing more $$ to slaughter animals on their sustainable farm?!? I've had it with your very poor service and scimpy and over-priced food...you are PRETENTIOUS MADRE in my book! عرض المزيد

Food was delicious! Mole Enchiladas my favorite! also home made tortillas were so good! Sangria was very good and that ginger soda !! 😋 Can't wait to go again!
