I went to this camp for many summers and was lead by some great councillors, I remember the rope obstacle course lead by Al I remember pushing Porta potty Pete into the pool , doing the councillor hun...t, the nights by the fire signing songs. This was an amazing place for us to spend our summers and march break, I even remember it being to cold to go sliding so we lined the stairs with all the mattresses and went sliding indoors. I hope Steve Alward is still running this place he always had time for us and he did a great job at making sure we all had fun . Glad to see the place still up and running and I hope for many years more of fun and memories for you guys and the kids that you do this for . See More

*sigh* someone just asked me how long I've been a Christian! Well... Long but wonderful story :). I was FINALLY old enough to start going to summer camp at Green Hill. It was roughly 20 years ago and ...I remember it like it was yesterday. It was the last day of my camping adventure and I had been having such a great time. My counselor, Shelley, gathered all the girls from our cabin on the floor. We all formed a circle and she explained that what we were about to do could change our lives forever, for the better :). She also gave us a few options to participate and said we didn't have to do it if we didn't want to. That choice was to accept Jesus into our hearts! ♥ as you've already guessed, I was one of those girls who made that decision and needless to say, even though I'm now hundreds of miles away in Alberta, Green Hill Lake Camp will ALWAYS hold a very special place in my heart and I have a soft spot for all summer bible camps. Hope this camping season is treating everyone well and God Bless! See More

Loved loved my experiences every year. Now mind you I am 56 so this was many years ago. No swimming pool so we swam in the lake or as a reward got to use a canoe. But we did tons of outdoor activitie...s we went on long hikes. Bird watching. Lol without binoculars campfire every night and four cabins hooked together with circle inside so no going out in the rain to visit people. Cute little church. We had NO tuck shop but back then we rarely were given treats and they gave us fabulous meals, praise given to God. Most fun of all was nightly campfire. Those were the good old days!! See More

I have been going to the Lady's retreats since 2003 and I am blessed in new ways each and every year I attend. I recommend GHL Camp Lady's retreats to all who are wondering about them. They become important part to your spiritual growth and over all development as a human. See More
