Update: We can confirm that the suspect in this case is deceased from a self inflicted gunshot wound at or near Longview lake.

Police are on the on the scene at a local salon at 601 NW Murray Rd in Lee's Summit where a man entered with a gun Friday morning, shot a female and left in a black Hummer H3 with a cracked windshield. She is deceased. Sources told the Dispatch that this was a domestic situation and that the shooter is known to police as the husband of the victim. We ...will not be releasing names at this time.

Update provided by LSPD:
Lee's Summit, Mo. – On Friday, 4/20/2018 at approximately 7:39 a.m.emergency crews were called to Sola Salons in the 600 block of NW Murray Rd. on the report of shots fired. While units were en route they received information that a female was shot and not breathing. When crews arrived on the scene they located a female in her 40’s deceased. The female appears to be an employee of the business. A suspect has been identified however is not currently in custody. Police continue to interview witnesses and investigate the scene.

Updated crash report from early Wednesday morning, victims identified



Lee’s Summit, Mo. – On Wednesday, 4/18/2018 at approximately 3:05 a.m. emergency crews were called to the area of SE Shenandoah and SE Kimbrough on the report of a single car crash. When crews arrived on the scene they located the single vehicle where it had come to rest after striking a tree on the north side of Shenandoah. Investigation at the scene revealed that the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Shenandoah at a high rate of speed, the driver lost control and skidded the vehicle off the north side of Shenandoah and struck a tree on the driver’s side of the car. The front seat passenger was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver and rear seat passenger were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries. Police are investigating to determine if alcohol played a role in the crash in addition to speed.

The occupants from the accident have been identified as:
Driver: Timothy W. Juedeman w/m 26 years of age of Lee’s Summit, MO
Front Passenger: Trenton J. Burg w/m 26 years of age of Lee’s Summit, MO (deceased)
Rear Passenger: Salvatore M. Anziano w/m 23 years of age of Pleasant Hill, MO
The vehicle in the accident was a 1999 Chrysler Sebring convertible.

Sgt Chris Depue, LSPD went on to explain that potential charges will take time.

No update on the crash investigation; they are working to complete the reconstruction and when the case file is completed, it will be submitted to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office for review and the filing of any charges. Normally, that takes anywhere from 6 – 10 weeks; the final piece is usually medical records and toxicology reports that take the longest to come back.
