Updated crash report from early Wednesday morning, victims identified
EARLY MORNING CRASH KILLS ONE PERSON
AND INJURES TWO OTHERS
Lee’s Summit, Mo. – On Wednesday, 4/18/2018 at approximately 3:05 a.m. emergency crews were called to the area of SE Shenandoah and SE Kimbrough on the report of a single car crash. When crews arrived on the scene they located the single vehicle where it had come to rest after striking a tree on the north side of Shenandoah. Investigation at the scene revealed that the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Shenandoah at a high rate of speed, the driver lost control and skidded the vehicle off the north side of Shenandoah and struck a tree on the driver’s side of the car. The front seat passenger was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver and rear seat passenger were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries. Police are investigating to determine if alcohol played a role in the crash in addition to speed.
The occupants from the accident have been identified as:
Driver: Timothy W. Juedeman w/m 26 years of age of Lee’s Summit, MO
Front Passenger: Trenton J. Burg w/m 26 years of age of Lee’s Summit, MO (deceased)
Rear Passenger: Salvatore M. Anziano w/m 23 years of age of Pleasant Hill, MO
The vehicle in the accident was a 1999 Chrysler Sebring convertible.
Sgt Chris Depue, LSPD went on to explain that potential charges will take time.
No update on the crash investigation; they are working to complete the reconstruction and when the case file is completed, it will be submitted to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office for review and the filing of any charges. Normally, that takes anywhere from 6 – 10 weeks; the final piece is usually medical records and toxicology reports that take the longest to come back.

He provided this statement:
"I allowed my judgement as Sheriff and my oblications to Jackson County be clouded of my feelings for someone I cared very deeply for in the past. I am accountable for my actions....
This was a personal failing and is entirely my responsibility."
