Remember we talked fertilizers before? I am not a huge fan of alot of the fertilizers out there because they use animal part from those big farms. Researcher Rick Haney and I are besties in preaching the benefits of healthy soils. What is your favorite amendment. Mine is crop covers.

Researcher Rick Haney travels the U.S. preaching the benefits of healthy soils. In a Yale Environment 360 interview, he talks about the folly of pursuing ever-greater crop yields using fertilizers and other chemicals and how farmland can by restored through natural methods.

I am an impulse gardener. Don't be like me. Before you buy something take the time and learn about it. We own 11 fruit trees which were neglected for 7 years. Boy are we paying the price trying to whip these trees into place.

And boom. Cilantro goes to seed. Well, I was a pig in mud when I saw papalo which is supposed to be a warm weather cilantro. Hmm. Jury is still out on this herb. Anyone else try it?

Does growing cilantro let you down? Me too so I decided to try Papalo which is a warm weather alternative to cilantro. Here are my thoughts about this plant.

If you are shying away from gluten free these days, cassava flour is the answer to missing grain based products. Read how to make cassava flour sourdough waffles. I am thinking of growing yucca this year. Something new to do. *wink*
