Shirley and Cathy...the best team ever...many wonderful seniors have come from them to spend their lives here at Greysett surrounded with love and pampering when they needed it the most...their golden... years. The one non senior was a terrified 2 year old boy with so many fears that it took a lifetime of love and emotional support to allow him to enjoy all that life had waiting for him See More

Got our second greyhound at GAP and love him to bits! His name was Atascocita Seth, we named him Pierce. Just as I write this, he is rooing in his sleep! Quite the character!

We knew exactly who we wanted Jawa Ferrari (Darcy) and Cathy made the process easy. Especially since we were coming in from out of town.

Got both my greyhounds from GAP and couldn't have asked for a better experience. GAP did a greyt job helping us choose the right pups for our family. I could not imagine not having "One of the Boys" ...and "Patsy Narina" as part of our family. See More

We have now adopted two retired racers from GAP. Cathy essentially picked both of our dogs for us based on what we told her our life was like. Both dogs were the opposite of what we thought we wanted ...and both dogs have been an absolutely perfect match for our family. We so appreciate not only the rescue work this organization does but also their commitment to make sure that dogs are well
Matched with to their new families.
Greyhounds are amazing pets! Thank you GAP for matching us with our babies.

We had an excellent adoption experience with these folks. The two and a half hour drive (one way) was well worth it. It is a well run operation. Greyhounds are wonderful animals, of course, and our... boy from Greyhounds as Pets of Northeast Florida is no exception. If we ever decide to add another Greyhound to our household, there is no question but that the dog will come from this adoption group. See More

I got my Dusty from GAP, I never thought I could love a dog so much. He chose me, I took him for a walk and he went straight to my car. He was my answered pray. Amazing people and amazing greyhounds.

It's been 3 years since I brought my boy (Kane's Captain) home and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better friend and companion! GAP does a wonderful job of placing the right greyhounds in the right homes!

I have adopted two great dogs from here. We adopted Eileen's Clown (Ellie) about 10 years ago. After she passed away, we adopted All In (Indy). He has since gone to be with Ellie. The staff at GAP us dogs that would be a good match for our family (cats and kids)If I ever get another dog, it'll have to be another greyhound . They are the best dogs: sweet, loving and gentle. I love this place!! I've had my 4 yr old Hokey Pokey for almost 6 wks now and love him to death, he's such a good boy! I loved the way when trying to find a new friend I went to the kennel and was all...owed to take the dogs I was interested in on a walk to see how they reacted to me. After picking HP they let me come and see him anytime they were open to spend time with him while I waited for him to get fixed. I walked him got to take him to the turn out pins to play with him we got to get used to one another and bond before he came to his new forever home. Anytime I have a question or concern I can call or go by and they help the best they can. I even became a volunteer to work the booth at the op kennel club as well as met and became friends with some great people with retired greyhounds as well. This place does great work striving to give these fur babies a second chance at life after they have completed their work on the track! See More

The ladies were very helpful in helping us find the perfect dog for our family. My little girl is afraid of most dogs but not the one they introduced us to. I'm glad I found this shelter.

Our newly adopted baby (3 weeks last Monday) has been a huge help to my 3-year-old who goes to Lucky when she is angry or frustrated and calms down immediately. I am trying desperately to find a stuf...fed greyhound or a plastic greyhound that she can take with her to help her soothe herself when we are away from home. Anybody have any ideas? I have done a bunch of internet searches, but haven't found anything. See More

Greyhounds available for adoption. You can also check out our page on Greyhound-data:… *Note - not all of the available dogs are in the adoption kennel. So, please let GAP know which dog(s) you'd like to meet so that they can make sure they get them to the adoption kennel prior to your appointment. (-Stacy, GAP volunteer)

KB's Kappler (Kappler). Kappler is a 2 1/2 year old, black female. She is a playful girl...a bit on the shy side. She would probably do best with a confident greyhound to show her the ropes. ADOPTION PENDING!!
