Many of you use the Winstrada development and award programme for your gymnastics, Rebound Therapy and trampolining classes.
I am writing to advise that the Win...strada website has been updated and made more 'user friendly'. Often when ordering online, people would order gymnastic awards when they wanted trampolining, and vice versa. The new design has now made this virtually impossible.
Class record sheets and wallcharts are still available to download free of charge, as always.
When you get a minute, please look around the new website and do give us any feedback, good or bad which may help us to provide you with a better service. The address is: www.winstrada.com
Did you know that the modern trampoline was invented by George Nissen and February 3rd each year is George Nissen Day?
This video was made to honour this great man:

Front drop or front landing?
Back drop or back landing?
What is the difference and why do some people call it one thing and others call it the other?
Here's a c...larification:
Generally with a front landing or a back landing description, the starting position is also stated, e.g.hands and knees to front landing.
With a front drop or back drop, the starting position is from feet.
I say 'generally' because the above applies to the learning of individual moves But when calling out routines you need to get the information to the trampolinist quickly and clearly. Front drop is quicker and clearer to call than front landing. The word 'drop' is a more percussive and therefore clearer sound than the word 'landing'.
We will shortly be updating a few of the descriptions on the class record sheets and wall charts in line with the above clarifications.
THE BIG BOUNCE FOR AUTISM being organised by Caroline Seyedi (Autism-ASITIS) was Professor Simon Baron-Cohen's idea after he was inspired whilst watching a vide...o clip of my daughter (who was diagnosed with autism at age two) performing at a National Trampoline Competition. THis is an ALL inclusive event and I invite everyone interested whatever their challenges in life are. Be a part of this BIG BOUNCE day by finding out how to register here...http://copingwithautism.co.uk/events.php#BIGBOUNCE
