Another great example of the great kids in our community. The 3rd grade classes at the Nisswa Elementary school collected money instead of exchanging Christmas gifts this year. The raised $219.10 for the animals. Special thank you to Cora Carlson for her idea.
For the week of Valentines Day we have the most beautiful cat bachelorette Queen and handsome cat bachelor Gabe and gorgeous dog bachelorette Fiona and stunning dog Bachelor Chester!
Please remember that every week we have a different bachelor/ette in hopes of finding everyone a forever, loving home. The adoption fees are reduced for the week they are featured only.
Share! Miss Fiona 1.5 years old pointer mix is still here and waiting. (Needs to be the only dog) She's such a sweet girl, someone just needs to give her a chance! We've had her out with us and she will chase a ball and really likes squeaky toys. She is laid back and loves cuddles and attention. She's such a sweetheart, come and meet outside her kennel and give her a chance. She is worth your time!

February 1st HART will begin the "HEARTS FOR HART" fundraiser at the local businesses as well as at the shelter. This is a fantastic fundraiser and we need your support. $1.00 for a red heart and $5.00 for a gold one.
Share if you care! This beautiful floppy eared girl is Copper. She is a 7 year old, spayed, Hound mix who was sadly surrendered as her owner was going to have a major surgery and wouldn't have the time for her. Copper has been around kids and other dogs. She loves splashing around in the water and running around outside. Come in and see if your home could use a little "Copper" in it!
Even tho we are still in the deep freeze of winter it is time to think spring and the annual Hoofin it for HART Walk. I am wondering if anyone has any great ideas for the walk this year? After 23 successful walks I feel it is time for a "New Look" and maybe some body has some great ideas. The walk is held the first Saturday in May in conjunction with "Be Kind to Animals" week. It is held at the Nisswa Community Center with a walk on the Paul Bunyan Trail. Let me know if you have an idea or two,
Thanks. Donna Wambeke Executive Director
