SHARE IF YOU CARE! This is Georgia, a beautiful black lab who is about 2 years old and was found as a stray. Georgia is a very sweet girl who knows "sit" and usually keeps a clean kennel. She has done well with other dogs at HART. Georgia can be very hyper to start out, but once she burns off some energy she is a very well behaved girl. At HART she has learned to walk pretty well on a halti. She would be a great companion for any family. Georgia is spayed and her adoption fee is $150. She has been waiting at HART for a couple months for a home, and can't wait to find that special family to love. Please "Share" this post to help her find a home!

SHARE IF YOU CARE! This is Josie, a 1 year old lab mix who came to HART as a stray and has been waiting several months for a good home. Jose is a nice medium sized dog, weighing only 40 pounds full grown. She knows "sit" and loves to play ball. Jose is a sweet girl with lots of energy. She needs a family that has the time to get her the exercise and attention that she needs. Jose is already spayed and her adoption fee is $150. Please "SHARE" this post to help her find a home!

SHARE IF YOU CARE! This handsome boy is Charlie, a 4 year old chocolate lab who came to HART a few months ago to find a new home. Charlie has done well with dogs, chickens, and has been around a few cats. He is a big friendly goof who loves to play fetch. Charlie has a lot of energy, but once he runs a bit he behaves much better. He is very strong and tends to pull when on leash. He has been doing very well at HART walking on a halti. Charlie would get so excited in his previous home he would accidentally knock down young children, so older children and adults would probably be best for him. Charlie is smart, he knows sit and lay down, and is very loveable. He needs a family who has lots of time to spend with him and play with him. He is a great dog who would be so grateful for the right family to love and spend time with. He is neutered and his adoption fee is $150.Please SHARE this post to help Charlie find a home!

Another great example of the great kids in our community. The 3rd grade classes at the Nisswa Elementary school collected money instead of exchanging Christmas gifts this year. The raised $219.10 for the animals. Special thank you to Cora Carlson for her idea.

Share! Miss Fiona 1.5 years old pointer mix is still here and waiting. (Needs to be the only dog) She's such a sweet girl, someone just needs to give her a chance! We've had her out with us and she will chase a ball and really likes squeaky toys. She is laid back and loves cuddles and attention. She's such a sweetheart, come and meet outside her kennel and give her a chance. She is worth your time!

Girl scout troop #358 came in to donate all these blankets they made for our kitties. Thank you so much, the cats will love them!

Share if you care! This beautiful floppy eared girl is Copper. She is a 7 year old, spayed, Hound mix who was sadly surrendered as her owner was going to have a major surgery and wouldn't have the time for her. Copper has been around kids and other dogs. She loves splashing around in the water and running around outside. Come in and see if your home could use a little "Copper" in it!

Even tho we are still in the deep freeze of winter it is time to think spring and the annual Hoofin it for HART Walk. I am wondering if anyone has any great ideas for the walk this year? After 23 successful walks I feel it is time for a "New Look" and maybe some body has some great ideas. The walk is held the first Saturday in May in conjunction with "Be Kind to Animals" week. It is held at the Nisswa Community Center with a walk on the Paul Bunyan Trail. Let me know if you have an idea or two,
Thanks. Donna Wambeke Executive Director
