This page rocks! It exists to be a tool for parents to lead their kids in their spiritual lives. Also, the staff that runs the page is open to suggestions and wants to hear from the HDC parents.
Here's a short video of how God has been working in some of our kids lives.
Want to get your child sign-up for a small group this fall at Victorville? Click on the link to register them today!

Friday, September 20 6:30 - 8:00pm Powell Auditorium, Victorville Campus Doors close at 6:30pm Latecomers will need to wait in the lobby for the first 10 minutes of the service. "For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,...

When the angels showed up on scene --you remember, before the shepherds-- they showed up and started singing! It was like they couldn't contain themselves. They were full of some pretty amazing news and they just HAD to tell someone!

"Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests!!" Luke 2:14

They showed up in a huge display--filling the night sky-- singing about the peace of God that earth could find in Jesus! That, my friends, is... some pretty amazing news!! It was news they had been waiting for for a long time.

Have you found that peace? Have you understood the Good News of Jesus for yourself? If so, who in your world -- your Oikos-- do you need to shout that same good news to? They need that peace just like you did!

Christmas is coming! And God's Son Brings Peace!

Happy Tuesday!

Jesus is God's Gift!

This weekend our elementary kids thought about who they wanted to share the gift of Jesus with. One easy way to do that is by inviting their friends to church for Christmas! We decorated postcards and they are ready to go out!!

Who did you invite?

We can't wait to see who God brings in the doors-- and we'll be praying for boldness as you invite your worlds!! (And that they accept your invite!)

Be sure you pop over and RSVP for the service you're hoping to attend!

Happy Tuesday!

The Bottom LIne this weekend was God's Presence Inspires Worship!

We saw King David retrieve the ark and restore God's presence to the city of Jerusalem. When he realized this-- that God's presence was near again-- he broke out in worship!

As believers, we have the Holy Spirit alive and active in us-- which means he's HERE! His presence is always near. And that inspires worship!

This week, as you drive to school, or eat breakfast, or pick up toys-- enjoy this playlist! And may your family worship God in a new way this week!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! See you this weekend!

We've been walking with the Israelites for a while and this weekend we took a stroll through the Red Sea! Yep-- that's right-- THROUGH IT!

Can you imagine being there? Can you imagine being sandwiched by millions of gallons of water piled up to your left and right... while you walked through on dry ground?!

Think Moana. But cooler.

The Israelites walked, literally, in the middle of one of God's big miracles. They had been saved from their enemies and God did so in a pretty amazing display of his power. God had won the battle and He was victorious! (Like he always is!)

What would you have done?!

The Israelites danced and celebrated and praised God pulling out all the stops!

We're talking, "sunshine in your pocket, can't stop the feeling" kind of dancing!

When God shows up in our lives-- it should move our hearts to worship him!! Just like it did for the Israelites. This week is a perfect time to remember some of those moments. As a family, take some time to list off the times God has showed up in your life. Worship him however it seems best-- and know, it glorifies Him when we do!

Happy Tuesday!

In September this team of people stepped up to help out our schools. This weekend we can all step up. Bring your non-perishable food to church this weekend. Leave it behind your car when you park. And we will get it to the Rescue Mission and to the poor in our town! Let’s keep loving our town. #iLoveVictorville

This weekend we saw God as Warrior! We watched him send plague after plague to a stubborn Pharaoh and with each bug and sickness and calamity, God was showing just how powerful he was! He was reminding Pharaoh who was really in charge.

Insert awesome fit bump!

You see, God wanted his people to be free! And no one was going to stand against him. God fought for his people!

The same is true today. Isn't that awesome news? God is still our warrior and he's still fighting for his children! (Ahem-- that's us!)

You can stand in confidence today that God is for you and he's going to bat for you! He promised to never leave us.

"The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14

Happy Tuesday!

"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." Genesis 50:20

As we continued to see this weekend, God didn't spare Joseph from the difficult situations in his life-- and there were a lot! But through all of those really hard times, God was working behind the scenes weaving together His perfect story-- a story that saved Joseph's family. And because they were saved, Jesus came to earth through the family ...God had promised.

So thankful for that!

What difficult situation is your family facing right now? Could God have you walking through it with bigger purposes in mind?

The God who saved Joseph's family is able to save yours!

Happy Monday!

As we continue to make our way through the Old Testament, we're watching God put together a pretty amazing story. Through each character and crisis, we are watching God make a way for his perfect plan (J E S U S) to unfold.

And the same is true this weekend!

This weekend we looked at the life of the Joseph... and it was pretty messy. But as always, God knew Joseph and had a very specific plan for his life-- and God knew how it would need to fit perfectly into The Big God S...tory.

God redeemed Joseph's life-- despite all odds--and kept his family line alive and thriving when everything was against them. Through Pharaoh, God put Joseph in charge of the food distribution so he could eventually save his brothers--the very ones who hated him and sold him into slavery-- from dying. God did ALL of this to save the family line of Jesus!

Isn't that amazing!?! Years and years and years before Jesus ever came on scene, God was setting up the plot for his perfect entry!

Check out this song as a family! God can make beautiful things out of what seems really messy and dark. May this song encourage your family!

Happy Tuesday!
