We’ve added the super-limited HERETICS #0 book to our store with each signed by PM Buchan, Martin Simmonds, and Kasra Ghanbari!
The... 24-page HERETICS #0 acts as a prequel to the upcoming Heretics comic six-issue series due out from 44FLOOD/IDW Publishing in late 2017/early 2018.
Set in 1999, HERETICS follows the journey of investigative journalist Isobel Lockwood as she travels to a remote island off the coast of Scotland in an attempt to save her younger sister from the Children of the Sun, an abusive cult founded by their father that believes in free love and group sex.
The issue #0 prequel features an original 9-page story about Isobel’s undercover investigations into the Heaven’s Gate commune; a 5-page early preview of issue #1; an exclusive feature article about the classic folk-horror film Blood on Satan’s Claw written by Euro horror cinema expert Rob Talbot and illustrated by Beast Wagon co-creator John Pearson; and an exclusive feature article on the top 10 songs from 1999 written by Kerrang! Magazine deputy editor George Garner and illustrated by John Pearson.
More news on the HERETICS series will be posted here soon!

Thanks to Pipedream Comics - The Best of Indie, Small Press and Digital Comics for their mini review of HERETICS issue zero: "Echoes of Dave McKean and Bill Sienkiewicz with its interlocking panels, anarchic lettering and ink splattered/painted style and gives the whole thing a dark and nightmarish quality that hints of some very uncomfortable stories to come."
P M Buchan was interviewed by The Alternative Outfit about the links between HERETICs, Donnie Darko, Danzig and death cults...
