I stayed here on two separate ocassion in the past month and I really enjoyed my stay. Everyone was lovely and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Staff stored my luggage, helped organize tours ...and gave me excellent directions for getting about.
It’s location could be much better - near both the bus station and train station.
There are lots of places nearby to eat but the hotel’s food was fresh and varied - great breakfasts, meals in the dining/bar nicely presented and room service was promptly served and good quality.
Dwayne, the Batman, makes a mean cocktail and if you haven’t ever tried a Rocking Rita you must next time when you visit.
I will definitely be back

Recently stayed for work. Checked in Sunday night departed Thursday morning. I noticed a bite on my arm. Didn't think much of it in the morning. By mid afternoon noticed several more bites. Currently ...have 12-15 bites on my arms, legs, feet and face. Anything that wasn't covered by clothing. I immediately contacted the hotel to let them know so they could check the room and treat it before any other guests had to deal with this. The front desk person was friendly and apologetic. I wasn't irrate or rude. I was told the manager was unavailable and was in a meeting but would call me back immediately. I gave my name and number. 2+ hrs and counting still zero call. Bed bugs happen, I know that but I think how a hotel handles bed bugs says a lot about a hotel. I will note that the head board on the bed has a gap even though most hotel chains have gone away from this due to the fact it gives bugs a place to hide. I informed my managers as this is a hotel we frequently use for employee training classes as well as regular stays. See More

The staff was nothing but courteous to me. I had a problem with water coming through the light fixture in the bathroom from the floor above. I was instantly comped a larger suite. The rooftop pool is ...nice and the restaurant is good value! Took a cab in and out so not sure about the valet. The gift shop is more of a gift closet..not much in there...but good overall experience. See More

Absolutely terrible . From the awful location to the valet parking rip off, you are not given any choices just pay $50! My car then sat in the same location outside the hotel that I parked it in.
Th...e room, once the keys eventually worked looked like my mom and dads bedroom in 1979. Then I get charged $171 a night. Wow what a sting. See More

While this is the finest hotel we ever stayed in, it was clean, convenient location and the staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious, good variety of fresh fruits and we were able to leave our luggage there after checking out of our room ( without charge ) so we could see the city before going home. Thanks all!! See More

When we pulled up, a man in plain clothes, with a bulls jacket over his heard, approached my door (the passenger door) to ask if we were going to be using the hotel valet. Once we said yes, he told us... he had a deal for us. He would park our car somewhere else, and only charge us $20 as opposed to the $50 for the hotel fee..... we told him no thank you, and walked into the hotel. We checked in, and were told to give the valet our keys. Turns out, he was the valet. Then he proceeded to follow us to our car, basicly scolding us for not taking his "parking deal." The room was clean, but small! The bathroom was kinda awkward too. The toilet seat had to be raised in order to shut the bathroom door. No big deal!! After we got dressed to go to dinner, we went downstairs to grab a taxi. While waiting, 2 women walked in together and handed their keys to the valet. He looked directly at us and said very loud, enough for both us and the other women to hear, that "no one around here tips." The next morning we woke up and went down to the hotel restaurant to have breakfast. It was good, $15 for the breakfast buffet. After eating, we decided to go relax in bed and watch some tv b4 having to take the drive back. Around 10 am, I heard a faint knock at the door, but before I could even move to get out of bed, housekeeping just walked right in.
#1) it was 10 am not 12 (check out time)
#2) we had the do not disturb sign, hanging on the outside of the door.
There was no, apology or anything. She just closed the door and went on to the next room.
I will not be staying at this hotel again!! AND I would not recommend it to anyone else!!

Bed bugs. One bed bug was crawling on the bed near us before bed and then we noticed new blood spots on both beds. We showed a man at concierge the bug sealed in a bag and he confirmed it was bed bugs.... He went outside to show his manager and the manager left the hotel. We found four more when we returned back to our room to pack our things. We were then given two other rooms that housekeeping had not cleaned and changed sheets. We were then told that the manager would be there in the morning for us to talk to. The manager ignored all calls from concierge this morning when we had asked for his whereabouts. We stayed for two nights, got bit the first night, and then noticed the bed bug crawling on the top of our bed sheet last night at 12 am before bed. They said they would only be able to reimburse us for one night. I am baffled at the way the manager handled (or lack thereof) the situation. I wanted to thank concierge for working with us but am shocked that the manager was of no help to them or us at all. See More

I just want to thank Lainie Habel-Grabowski, Sales Manager, for being so accommodating to our family for our son's wedding. They gave us the best price in town to reserve rooms for family members.

People behind the counter were rude and not pleasant! Rushed me off when I had more questions, and no one was waiting behind me.. Both at check-in and checkout, 2 different women. At 9am someone came ...into my room, I sleep naked btw, said sorry and walked out. That will be the only and last time I stay at this location. See More

This hotel has the nicest staff I've encountered at any hotel in Chicago! The night manager searched for tea bags for me when I asked if they had any even though I told her to please not go to the tro...uble. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the rooms are immaculate. The pool and pool area are pristine and the water temperature was perfect ( not ice cold like so many hotel pools). The location is great for seeing many of Chicago's landmarks. See More

Absolutel crap hole! Bathroom reeks of mold. Had to ask for new room because idiot manager, Tommie put us 2nd floor on the freeway. Water rings on all the veneer furniture, stains in the tube and the ...water doesn't drain. $159 + tax, can't get a cup of coffee and rude rude rude. First and last time Chicago. I enquire about shuttle to airport but told that they won't book one. If they should ever reach the level of stupid it would be a promotion. See More

The room WAS clean..... So that is what made me stay..... But... They take your car keys, night staff had no idea where anything was. Neighborhood isn't the greatest... Right across the street from th...e cook county circuit Court... And the night staff told us to walk to the nearest restaurant.... Not happening with my daughter at 11pm!! Plus it was closed. Plenty homeless everywhere! Used to the heavy traffic sound... Used to live next to an airport... I'd say the sounds were pretty similar. Owner was nice. Check out was easy and fast. 12pm check out. Great location in an adorable little building right downtown. ( like most buildings built in the early 20th century) they embrace it and make the rooms uniquely practical. The staff is so welcoming an...d makes this feel like a home away from home. All around a great experience. See More
